The First in Our New Feature – Love Stories

We are so excited to be able to bring to you the first in our new feature, ‘Love Stories’. This story is particularly important as it begun in the pub where i had my very first job, many moons ago.
We loved reading their story and cannot wait for the next installment. We you hope enjoy it as much as we did.
The Story of Katie and James.
”Kate and James first met over ten years ago as nothing more than young and impetuous children. Through what some call coincidence, others fate, their friendship circles and ultimately their lives would become intertwined through the simple act of misdialling a telephone.
In those fleeting early moments of their friendship they talked as most teenagers; briefly and awkwardly. They dated back then, but amid a flurry of teenage hormones and misunderstandings, it was to be short-lived. For a long time after these first encounters, their lives took separate paths.
My-space, it seemed, was to be the catalyst for the rekindling of their relationship. They were friends on the site, in that loose and nebulous term that social networking inspires. James happened to be seeing a mutual friend of theirs at the time, and it was on a date with her that Kate and he began talking again. Soon after that same pub would be the venue for the first tentative date of their own. Amongst the riotous fireworks of young love that followed were being sown the seedlings of a lasting romance.
They moved in together soon after, more by circumstance than by design. Immediately it was as if they had lived together for many years, such was the harmonious nature of that burgeoning household. A few minor hiccups aside, it was household that would last.
After James finished University, but failed to gain a job, they lived for most of one year in my old, small bedroom at his parents house. It was during this year, walking from the very same pub in which their journey began, that James would ask Kate to marry him.
Shortly after the engagement, they happened upon a house which seemed to have been built to specification from the very dreams they shared. They are now in the planning stage of their November 2012 Wedding and are the happiest they have ever been.”
