How to create Grecian Make-up with Simone Weldon MUA

Written by , Posted in Hair & Make-up

With the sun showing an appearance this weekend we thought we would share you with you a recent shoot we did with Simone Weldon on how to recreate the make-up of a Greek goddess, to get you in the mood for summer….

Grecian themed weddings are becoming hugely popular with floating dresses and flowing locks, the makeup is glowing, with nude eyes and lips.

The complexion is flawless,  so a good foundation and concealer is important, especially if you will be wearing this look for a destination wedding, a good base is vital to make sure your make up doesn’t just slip off in the heat.

Grecian makeup is all about highlighting and shading to create a strict structure. The cheeks should be emphasized with a dark bronzer along the dip; (just under the cheek bone) the cheek bone can then be highlighted with a pale highlighter. A touch of bronzer to the forehead adds structured width.

The eyes and lips  can be left nude with mysterious browns and shades of beige, a touch of gold can be added to the inner eye to give a touch of sparkle and as well as opening up the eyes, aided with a couple of coats of mascara.

If you’re not comfortable wearing a completely nude look on the eyes liquid eyeliner can be added along the lash line of the upper lid and flicked out at the edges to make the look more feline and adding drama.

We hope you have a fabulous weekend, enjoy hopefully you will all be able to enjoy the glorious sunshine.

Fingers crossed!
