Motivational Monday: Forgiveness and Unconditional Love – a Personal Post…

Written by , Posted in Personal, Self Love

We can’t tell you enough how much we look forward to sharing motivational Mondays with you. In a way they are also therapeutic for us, as we tend to write about the little things that we have experienced or know of someone that the posts may resonate with. We don’t claim to be visionary’s or therapists, but if motivational Monday helps just one person that’s struggling to get through today then we will be thankful, so here it goes …

How easy is it to forgive?

Some are good at this and others aren’t, some will say it depends on the situation others will say they can forgive no matter what. I read an article last week that suggested that forgiveness needs to be practiced, so I made a deal with myself that I was going to at least try to practice forgiveness and it just so happened I felt I had something to forgive. So I thought about exactly what it was that had upset me about the situation and how I felt about that emotionally, and to be honest I realised that I had learnt something about myself. I don’t want to be a person that holds a grudge or feels irritated, angered or sad, these are negative emotions and they serve no purpose in life apart from to bring you down.

What is Unconditional Love?

In order to move forward from this situation I had to understand that it is feelings of positivity that allow us to move forward and grow as people. Some will call this unconditional love where no matter what life throws at you, your response will be that of love and kindness.

Even though I now have let go of what it was that was originally frustrating me I have to admit it was hard. I know I will be practicing forgiveness for the rest of my life as will everybody else, but if it helps me to grow and live a happy life then let’s hear it for unconditional love!

Much Bespoke Love
