How Candid Photography on Your Wedding Day Can Make All The Difference

Written by , Posted in Photography

This post is a guest post by David Broadbent.

We in the UK are actually very conservative when it comes to wedding photography. Many couples want images that are relaxed and natural. The tradition of formal wedding photography is based on very sound reasoning. All of the guests will have their own expectation of “wedding photography”. Great Aunt’s, seldom seen, travelled a long way to be there and there is an expectant hierarchy about who will be in which pictures. With all of this expectation it becomes extremely difficult to get away from traditional and so even the most adventurous of clients get drawn back to compiling a shoot list that differs little from their parents or grand-parents.

Motivational Monday: The Relationship You Have With Yourself

Written by , Posted in Self Love

We all know that here at Bespoke Bride we love a good natter about all things wedding and our loved ones! However, we also think it’s extremely essential to not forget the importance of loving ourselves! We wanted to introduce ‘Motivational Monday’ to the blog as an uplifting day all about believing in yourself and staying positive.

For this week’s motivational Monday we wanted to share one of our favourite quotes about relationships and the one that you have with yourself

Sunday Sharing and Weekly Round up: The Sun has got his hat on…

Written by , Posted in Sunday Sharing & Weekly Round up

What a glorious day it has been, the sun has finally made an appearance which can only mean one thing…summer is upon us, yippee!!! This week we were able to leave the Bespoke Bride office to attend two events the first being the launch of a wonderful new business Lilac Hill Vintage Tea Party and the second was our first ever tweet-up in the new fabulous Wedding Yurts. Both of which got us feeling slightly summery and festive and so to celebrate we produced a festival inspiration board which you can see here.

Can you also imagine our excitement when we were given this painting as a gift this week? It fits perfect with our festival mood as well as being one of our most favourite pictures on Pinterest. Thank you so much Elina! (More to come on her amazing talent soon)

We have met so many lovely people in the world of weddings this week and we are very excited to be working with a few of them on up and coming projects so please keep your peepers peeled for what’s to come. To wind down a busy week here is a look at what has been going on in the world of weddings.

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Festival Themed Wedding & A Fantastic Tweet Up

Written by , Posted in Be Inspired

Last night we attended a wonderful ‘tweet up’ at The Old Farmhouse in Dumbleton! The event was organised by Suzie from Karma Kars Cotswold, Lizzie from Wedding Yurts, Clare from Lily Fee Designs & Jonathon from Photo Glow and what an event it was! We were treated to champagne, mocktails and some to die for RAW chocolate (it’s ACTUALLY GOOD FOR YOU! Need we say more? eat eat eat!) We must say, being our first Tweet Up we were a little nervous, but there was no reason to be, everyone was lovely and we had a great evening!

We took a tour around the grounds of the The Old Farmhouse which is being showcased as a wedding venue coming complete with amazing Yurts! Anybody looking for a wedding in the Cotswolds please get in touch, this venue is outstanding and the Yurts can be fully customized for your theme! A photo shoot also took place at the venue last weekend, so we’re waiting in suspense to be able to share the photographs with you all!

While we were there the gorgeous yurts reminded us of how the festival season is just around the corner and got our imaginations running wild for festival themed weddings! So much so that this week’s Wednesday wedding inspiration is an inspiration board put together by us to inspire those brides out there looking for something similar!

ahhh so much floral goodness & fun!

Easy Reading on Bank Holiday Monday & Weekly Round Up!

Written by , Posted in Sunday Sharing & Weekly Round up

Happy bank holiday weekend lovelies! Instead of doing our regular ‘Sunday sharing’ for you on a Sunday we thought it would be a better idea to do it on bank holiday Monday in the hopes you are snuggled up on the sofa after a wonderful weekend!

Our weekend saw a few parties but one that was particularly amazing to us was the tea party we attended on Saturday hosted by Lilac Hill! Cakes, crockery & scones were a sample of delights we were treated to! But, more on this lovely new company later! For now, here’s whats been featured in the world of weddings this week.

We loved this real wedding featured on festival brides! The photographers did a great job of telling the story from both the bride and the groom’s side!

Earlier on in the week we met with Fran from the weddings team of Not On The High Street and had lots of lovely wedding chat! Speaking of which, they have a fantastic section on gifts to give the newly wed couple! We particularly love this bridal charm pin featuring something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue all rolled into one!

12 Ways To Wear ‘Something Blue’ On Your Wedding Day

Written by , Posted in Accessories, Advice & Planning

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. The tradition is still as popular as ever but if you’re struggling for something blue then here’s a few ideas to inspire you! (rhyme not intended…we swear..)

A garter is, in our opinion, one of the best ways to wear something blue. If blue isn’t in the colour scheme for your big day then this way it doesn’t have to be on show! We particularly love this one from Etsy which you can purchase here

Or perhaps blue is part of your color scheme! In which case, wear it proud! Adding blue detail to a dress can be absolutely gorgeous
