“Oh I Do Like To be Beside the Seaside…”- A Shoot with the Fabulous Craig Dearsley!

We have been sooooooo excited to share these photos with you guys!! Our latest shoot was the brainchild of the god damn awesome Craig Dearsley, a fab photographer and husband to the equally talented and beautiful Veronica Dearly (You may remember her as the creator of ‘The Extra-Ordinarily Helpful Introduction to Planning a Wedding‘). We first met this uber cool couple at the Designer Vintage Wedding Show in Worcester last year. We instantly hit it off after having a very weird conversation about chairs and have kept in touch ever since.

We’ve Re-Branded! More Colours, More Fun, More Us!

As some of you may know in January I attended a 2 day workshop called The Blogcademy, which can only be described as a blogging heaven full of advice from Gala, Shauna & Kat on taking your blog to it’s maximum potential. Blogging was broken down into bite size sections and the ladies covered everything from social media to finding inspiration and monetizing your blog. (You can read more about my fab time here!)

When it was time to talk about branding I was really interested in hearing what Shauna had to say. Me and Emily honestly thought the design of our blog was great for a bridal blog. How naive of us!! Once Shauna talked us through her design tips and brand audits we had to write down 3 things we wanted our blog to be described as. I wrote down fun, bright and colourful. I also wanted the design to look ’clean’ and professional.

What Is Love? (Baby don’t hurt me!)

Sorry. Whenever I hear ‘What is love?’ the inter monologue in my head loves finishing the sentence with the classic lyric from Haddaway!

I’m sure this question is cropping up a lot lately considering it’s February and all, what’s really interesting about it is that love means so many different things to different people. You can have love for another person, a love for life and you certainly should have love for yourself.

With Valentine’s day fast approaching I can’t help but think about all of the couples that will be squashed into busy restaurants receiving the oh so classic gifts that recur year after year. You know the ones…

Classic

As lovely as they are, they scream CLICHE. These items can be romantic when they’re spontaneous and ‘just because’, but with Valentines Day, we could do so much better! Seriously, what’s romantic about walking into Tesco the day before and picking up the first bunch of flowers you see? Anyone could do that.

I hate to say it people but…

Real romance isn’t manufactured. It’s individual and thoughtful.

The A-Z of The Blogcademy…

Weekends don’t often get better than the one i just had…inspiring people, an awesome atmosphere & plenty of glitter! That’s right! I headed up to London to attend The Blogcademy, it was time for me to get schooled by 3 ladies who knew how to kick some serious blogging ass!

Things We Are Thankful For This Thursday: Happy Thanksgiving!

Today the U.S celebrates thanksgiving, a traditional holiday where people recognise and are thankful for all the blessings in their lives. Although not American, both myself and Jess are huge believers in being thankful for even the smallest things in life, as it is these that help you realise true happiness. It is so easy to caught up in the negative aspects of your life that you forget that much of what occurs in your day to day life is something to be thankful for.

Somehow we have forgot that being thankful is a great way to think positively, a chance to sit down and assess your life and most importantly – make you happy. If you only sat down and thought about all the positve in your life then why would you ever really be unhappy?

A great way of being thankful is literally to count your blessings so why dont you make a list of all the wonderful things in your life just like me and Jess have below.

Jessica’s 21st Birthday Party!

Today we excited to share with you some of the photographs captured at Jessica’s 21st Birthday Party which was held on the 3rd June .

As most of you will know, turning 21 is a milestone in anyones life and so what better way to celebrate than with lots and lots of friends, many of which had travelled many miles to enjoy the night with her.

We are in Hollywood – where dreams really do come true!
