Off The Record: The Perks of Working from home…

As I’m writing this I am still in my pyjamas, which has been a regular occurrence this week, honestly I haven’t had time to get dressed. Everything has been so busy, Jess has editing coming out of her ears so I am in charge of all the behind the scenes bits of the blog and it makes me so thankful that we do have each other to fall back on, I do not know how some bloggers do it all by themselves. A huge hats off to all those lone bloggers I say!

I know its easy to say your busy all the time, actually it’s one of my pet peeves, everyone is busy right? So stop moaning about it and get on with it, you’re never going to get things done just talking about it! So I’m going to take some of my own advice and get on with this weeks off the record. Here is what we have been loving this week!

After such a beautiful start to the week I am a little disappointed that the weather has taken a turn for the worse this weekend but I’m thankful for even a couple of days of sun in the UK as it seems to be such a rarity. Today we are off to Bristol for a photo shoot with Isobel While and her fab vintage dresses. Get ready for a little blog exclusive in the next couple of weeks!

Off The Record: Food, Friends & The Future

I’m writing this in my tracksuit bottoms with a cup of tea thinking about what a week it has been! I’ve just come home from a wedding in Gloucester and what a wedding it was! I felt so privileged to photograph Laura and Mark’s wedding yesterday purely because I have known Laura all of my life, the only downfall was that I was so emotional all day! It’s quite hard to take photos with blurry teary eyes! Needless to say I cannot wait to go through all of the pics! We also popped up to Ross this week to see an exciting Alice In Wonderland inspired shoot with Ellis Weddings, think melted clocks, very red roses & a whole lotta tea cups and beautiful cakes! More to come on this soon!….AND while we’re on the topic of shoots we’ve been cooking up a storm with stylist Nicholas Parnell & model bestie Brandon Brando! Exciting things to follow people! WATCH THIS SPACE!

Off The Record: Tweet Ups & Meet Ups!

Wow isn’t April just flying by!!! May begins next week and I feel (although still a tad nippy!) that spring is well and truly here. I’ve been spending lots of time outside this week enjoying the fresh air, the sun and trying my hand at gardening. The highlight of my week was my other half returning home with a brand spanking new lawn mower. Sad I know but, I have never owned a lawn mower before so it’s exciting for me.

Welcome to the weekend!

I’m not going to lie, I am slightly disappointed that the heatwave we were eagerly awaiting this weekend has been a complete wash out, instead I am cuddled up on the sofa under a blanket, roll on summer! For most of this weekend I have been visiting my family, I try to devote my Saturdays to seeing them. This evening I will mostly be spending some much needed time with my other half watching the Hobbit, I can’t wait to chill out for a couple of hours. So tell us how has your weekend been???

Off the Record: More Photoshoots, Sun, Sea and Sand!

Happy Sunday!! Well that week went pretty darn fast didn’t it? I don’t know about you but I am still trying to resist the temptation to dive in to munching on all my Easter eggs, I had 5 in total, yes 5! How lucky am I! I am being a good girl however and just have a little nibble now and again!

We have had a lot of fun this week, as we traveled all the way to sunny (but still very cold) Weston Super Mare for a photoshoot with the fantabulous Craig Dearsley and his beautiful wife Ronnie. It was great to catch up with the both of them, they made us laugh so much our faces were hurting. Make up artist Grace Kingsley also joined us and had me all excited when she just so happen to mention she had recently worked as a makeup artist on ‘Broadchurch’. The show is currently running on BBC1 and I am well and truly hooked. I did try to probe her about the ending but as only true pros can, she maintained her tight lip. The final addition to our team was Andy from Lovebus Weddings and his super cool refurbished camper van. She looked so pretty sat on a sunny beach it felt like she was home.

We have a little sneaky peek of the shoot right here for you, eeek we are so excited to see the rest of them!!!

Off The Record: New Look Wins Head of the Class!

Happy Easter! Wow what a week we have had. As many of you know, on Monday we announced our sparkly new re-brand and the response we have had since has been phenomenal. We have received so many lovely comments and would like to take this chance to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has emailed, messaged and tweeted, we have been completely overwhelmed by your kindness.

This week has been huge for other reasons, on Friday our resident bride, Sophie said ‘I Do’ to her wonderful husband Liam. The day was just out of this world with so many personal touches, the napkins and favours were all hand sewn and knitted, even the brides veil was hand sewn by the bride and her sister. The ceremony venue was the beautiful Rococo gardens in the Cotswolds and the reception was held at Over barn just outside of Gloucester. We were extremely lucky with the weather, good job as the ceremony was outdoors, although cold the sun shone at the very moment Liam and Sophie said their vows. We cannot wait to show everyone just how amazing this wedding, Sophie and Liam did an absolutely amazing job of bringing it together and we couldn’t be more happy for them.

Off The Record: Lollipops, Lemonade & Love!

Well haven’t we been busy bee’s this week? What with making giant lollipops, cinema trips, having make up lessons and tutorials ready for some beauty DIY’s and not to mention travelling down to Devon to attend the Fabulous Wedding Festival!! But more on that awesome event next week…

I would also just like to add that me & Emily went to hell & back on Thursday in a fitness class that resembled more of an army boot camp session. I’m serious. I thought I was going to die.
