Written by , Posted in Self Love

We all know that here at Bespoke Bride we love a good natter about all things wedding and our loved ones! However, we also think it’s extremely essential to not forget the importance of loving ourselves! We wanted to introduce ‘Motivational Monday’ to the blog as an uplifting day all about believing in yourself and staying positive.

For this week’s motivational Monday we wanted to share one of our favourite quotes about relationships and the one that you have with yourself

Easy Reading on Bank Holiday Monday & Weekly Round Up!

Written by , Posted in Sunday Sharing & Weekly Round up

Happy bank holiday weekend lovelies! Instead of doing our regular ‘Sunday sharing’ for you on a Sunday we thought it would be a better idea to do it on bank holiday Monday in the hopes you are snuggled up on the sofa after a wonderful weekend!

Our weekend saw a few parties but one that was particularly amazing to us was the tea party we attended on Saturday hosted by Lilac Hill! Cakes, crockery & scones were a sample of delights we were treated to! But, more on this lovely new company later! For now, here’s whats been featured in the world of weddings this week.

Photo Credit (how awesome is this picture by the way?!)

We loved this real wedding featured on festival brides! The photographers did a great job of telling the story from both the bride and the groom’s side!

Earlier on in the week we met with Fran from the weddings team of Not On The High Street and had lots of lovely wedding chat! Speaking of which, they have a fantastic section on gifts to give the newly wed couple! We particularly love this bridal charm pin featuring something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue all rolled into one!

12 Ways To Wear ‘Something Blue’ On Your Wedding Day

Written by , Posted in Accessories, Advice & Planning

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. The tradition is still as popular as ever but if you’re struggling for something blue then here’s a few ideas to inspire you! (rhyme not intended…we swear..)

A garter is, in our opinion, one of the best ways to wear something blue. If blue isn’t in the colour scheme for your big day then this way it doesn’t have to be on show! We particularly love this one from Etsy which you can purchase here

Or perhaps blue is part of your color scheme! In which case, wear it proud! Adding blue detail to a dress can be absolutely gorgeous

On a miserable sunday like today we wanted to show you something beautiful that can come from a rainy day. You would never believe it but part 2 of our Yosemite shoot was shot in the pouring down rain…

Sticking with the same location of Yosemite as it is so darn beautiful, we were über excited about the next shoot. As the girls were in hair and makeup and trying on their dresses the theme became apparent and we knew it was gonna be hot hot hot!!!

(Even though it was rainy rainy rainy!!!)

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Part 1 of our shoot at Yosemite with dresses by “Green Queen” Deborah Lindquist!

Written by , Posted in Bridal Fashion, Destination Weddings, Photography, Styled Shoots

Finally it’s here, the shoot we have been rambling on about since we came back from California a couple of weeks ago!

When we decided to visit California a shoot with the wonderful Mariel Hannah was always going to be on the cards, but when we were offered the chance to shoot dresses designed by eco couture designer Deborah Lindquist we knew it was going to be something special.

Deborah Lindquist is famous in the fashion world as the “Green Queen” designing environmentally conscious couture dresses as well as a host of other ready to wear apparel. She uses recycled and eco-friendly materials for all of her designs, not only ensuring  she is doing her bit to take care of the planet, but also means that each of her designs has a very unique look. Many of Deborah’s designs have an iconic vintage cashmere style about them that has created her a following of fans around the world as well as with stars such as Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

All About the Groom: Introducing A Suit That Fits guide to finding your perfect wedding suit

Written by , Posted in All About the Groom

Today we wanted to do a little something for the lads. We know that most of the time we are getting all excited about wedding dresses, but your attire is all especially important. So today we thought we would let Claire from ‘A Suit That Fits’ fill you in on groom style. Ladies take note…

It can be difficult to know where to start when it comes to looking for suits for your Groom and Groomsmen – the fit, style, colour and accessories all need consideration.

With more affordable, bespoke options on the high street, it’s now possible to have your Groom’s suit cut and stitched to perfection to make him feel really special. He can really personalise his suit with options such as having his initials (or the date of your wedding!) stitched onto his shirt cuff, or having his waistcoat lining matching the colour scheme of the wedding – the stitching on the buttonhole could even match your flowers!

Monday 16th April: Readings for the not so traditonal wedding…

Written by , Posted in Advice & Planning

Happy Monday everyone! Over the last few weeks, both my beau and I have been trying to find something we would like to have read at our wedding. It’s been quite a difficult task as we have specific things that we want or don’t want it to say. For example it can’t be too traditional as we are planning a humanist ceremony, but it’s important to us that the reading reflects our feelings for each other, however it can’t be too soppy because that just isn’t who we are? So to start the week off we thought we would share a shortlist with you of a few of our favourites, in the hope someone would find it useful if they are struggling to find the right words.

Written by , Posted in Fairs & Shows

We love to share details of up and coming wedding events on our blog, and today we would like to introduce you to a local company we contacted through mutual friends last year. The creator is Ellis of Ellis wedding shows, a company that specialises in bringing together all types of wedding suppliers under one roof.

Ellis would like to extend an invitation to all our readers, to attend her grand wedding show that she will be hosting on Sunday 27th May from 11am to 3pm, at the Chase Hotel. This is their third annual show, which will play host to over 45 local wedding suppliers and a catwalk performance at 12pm and 2pm.

Ellis said “we pride ourselves on our event themes, and this year it’s Alice in Wonderland The Madness of Love. This quirky and random, yet chic and contemporary theme will leave you fully inspired and will certainly draw the eye in a fun and gorgeous way”
