Sunday Sharing: Holidays are coming!!!

Good Evening on this wonderfully wintery day. Me and the beau have just been out to buy our christmas tree, a bit late for some I know but we try to avoid anything christmassy  until after my birthday. I have been wonderfully spoilt this week with a trip to london to watch ‘The Lion King’ at the Lyceum theatre. Honestly if you haven’t seen it yet, it really is a must, it was by far one of the best shows I have ever seen and would make a great christmas gift for someone. We also visited the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park which was beautiful with all the old fashioned christmas markets and the smell of mulled cider. For the geek in me we also paid a visit to the the Natural History Museum, I loved it that much we actually went back the next day. There is so much to see and do there, I loved piecing together our history and evolution, honestly its my second biggest passion aside from gawking at wedding pretty all day.

A Wedding for the Weekend: A Surprise Engagement

Written by , Posted in The Engagement

Ok so our wedding for the weekend isn’t exactly a wedding but it is the first engagement shoot we have ever featured on Bespoke Bride and whats more its the engagement of two of our wonderful friends from across the pond. You may remember Toni  as the beautiful model from the photoshoots we did at Yosemite back a few months ago and it was thanks to her now fiance Chad that the photoshoots went ahead in the first place.

Chads proposal was a complete surprise to Toni who thought she was doing a photoshoot to help out help out Chads sister, the wonderful Mariel from Mariel Hannah photography. Mariel asked her act as a ‘client’ giving information about what she would like from her portrait shoot including the location, the concept and even the outfits, little did she know she was actually setting up her own surprise engagement shoot.

The shoot took place at Huntington and Laguna Beach, where Mariel was able to catch the entire engagement. This truely is one of the most romantic shoots we have ever seen and we know how much you will enjoy seeing how this beautiful couples special day was captured.

On a miserable sunday like today we wanted to show you something beautiful that can come from a rainy day. You would never believe it but part 2 of our Yosemite shoot was shot in the pouring down rain…

Sticking with the same location of Yosemite as it is so darn beautiful, we were über excited about the next shoot. As the girls were in hair and makeup and trying on their dresses the theme became apparent and we knew it was gonna be hot hot hot!!!

(Even though it was rainy rainy rainy!!!)

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Part 1 of our shoot at Yosemite with dresses by “Green Queen” Deborah Lindquist!

Written by , Posted in Bridal Fashion, Destination Weddings, Photography, Styled Shoots

Finally it’s here, the shoot we have been rambling on about since we came back from California a couple of weeks ago!

When we decided to visit California a shoot with the wonderful Mariel Hannah was always going to be on the cards, but when we were offered the chance to shoot dresses designed by eco couture designer Deborah Lindquist we knew it was going to be something special.

Deborah Lindquist is famous in the fashion world as the “Green Queen” designing environmentally conscious couture dresses as well as a host of other ready to wear apparel. She uses recycled and eco-friendly materials for all of her designs, not only ensuring  she is doing her bit to take care of the planet, but also means that each of her designs has a very unique look. Many of Deborah’s designs have an iconic vintage cashmere style about them that has created her a following of fans around the world as well as with stars such as Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

There had been nothing but rain all morning and so we feared our winter shoot was going to be a winter washout? We all silently said our prayers for snow and what do you know minutes after we had stepped out to shoot the snow started to fall.

A Rustic Woodland Bridal Shoot at Yosemite

Written by , Posted in Bridal Fashion, Destination Weddings, Photography, Styled Shoots

As we may have mentioned (once or twice!) we were lucky enough to be a part of three separate bridal shoots while we were up in Yosemite, one of which we are going to be sharing with you today!!

We wanted the theme around this photo shoot to be very woodland based and rustic which worked out perfectly for the area we were in.

We hope you enjoy this inspired shoot as much as we enjoyed doing it!

To make this photo shoot extra exciting we had an additional photographer and a make-up artist! Both Mariel and Amber are super talented and we would highly recommend them for weddings!
