“We’d love to share a beautiful story with you today! Meet Dilek and Kaan, a wonderful couple from Turkey. They travelled all the way to stunning Venice, Italy, for their special day. And they weren’t alone! Their friends and family joined them, bringing so much warmth and excitement to this magical city. For their wedding, Dilek and Kaan chose the fantastic Sina Centurion Palace. This hotel is truly special because it sits right on the famous Grand Canal.
They decided to celebrate their entire wedding day right there, making the most of its incredible location and views. This meant that the stunning Grand Canal and the unique Venetian atmosphere became the natural backdrop for their celebration and photos. We captured beautiful pictures of them at the hotel, using the magnificent scenery from its windows, terraces, and even a charming wooden walkway directly over the canal. The magic of Venice was all around them.

What mattered most to Dilek and Kaan? Simply having fun and celebrating with the people they love, all together. Their day was filled with happiness, romance, and an intimate, joyful vibe.
The ceremony was originally planned for the hotel’s pretty outdoor courtyard. But, as it sometimes happens, it starts to rain! So, everything quickly moved inside to the hotel’s main space. And guess what? It was still absolutely beautiful, romantic, and even fun! All their guests gathered closely around Dilek and Kaan, making the moment feel incredibly warm and personal.

Thanks to their amazing wedding planner, Vanessa Lanzafame, the whole day went smoothly. From the moment Dilek and Kaan saw each other in their wedding attire, through the heartfelt ceremony, to the very end of the party, everything was seamless. There was no stress, just pure joy.
Later, everyone put on pretty Venetian masks – a nod to Venice’s famous traditions! With masks on, they danced, creating a scene like an old Venetian party right inside their beautiful hotel. It was such a creative and fun touch.
Dilek and Kaan’s wedding was full of energy, life, smiles, and happy laughter. It was a truly lively and joyful start to their new life together.”

Our Top Favorite Wedding Venues in Venice, Italy
Venice. Just saying the name conjures images of winding canals, centuries-old architecture, and the kind of romance that practically drips from every cobblestone. As a wedding blogger for Bespoke Bride for the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of attending a few magical weddings in this iconic city and interviewing couples who tied the knot there. Let me tell you, choosing your wedding venue in Venice is like trying to pick your favorite gelato flavor—nearly impossible, but ultimately rewarding.
Is a Palace Wedding in Venice Right for You?
When you think Venice, it’s hard not to picture a grand palace overlooking the canal, like Dilek and Kaan’s wedding at Sina Centurion Palace. Aside from this terrific venue, one of my absolute favorites is the Palazzo Cavalli, where I once attended a wedding that felt straight out of a 17th-century painting. Picture this: chandeliers sparkling, classical music playing, and the soft glow of sunlight streaming through ornate windows. The couple looked like royalty. But don’t be fooled—this grandeur comes with a price. Renting a palace can be pricey, and you’ll need a planner who’s fluent in both Italian and logistics.

If you’re willing to splurge, the reward is unparalleled. The rooms are filled with historic art, and the atmosphere is unlike anything else. One bride I interviewed called it her “fairytale come to life,” and honestly, it’s hard to argue with that. Just be prepared for a bit of a coordination headache when it comes to permits and setup.
Should You Choose a Hidden Gem for Your Venice Wedding?
On the flip side, I once attended a wedding at the Ca’ Nigra Lagoon Resort—a hidden gem that feels worlds away from the tourist hustle. It’s got this lush garden right by the water, where the couple said their vows as gondolas drifted by. It was charming and intimate without feeling over-the-top.
The perks? You’re not smack in the middle of the city, so it’s quieter, and you get a blend of nature and Venetian architecture. Plus, it’s far more affordable than the palatial venues. The downside? You’re not going to get that immediate “wow” factor of a palace, but if you’re after cozy, authentic, and a bit off the beaten path, this could be your spot.

Is a Waterfront Wedding Venue in Venice Worth It?
Waterfront venues are the quintessential Venetian dream. The JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa on Isola delle Rose is an unexpected oasis—a quick boat ride from the heart of the city, but far enough to feel like a retreat. I remember interviewing a groom who couldn’t get over the panoramic views. “It was like having Venice in the background, but with the space to actually breathe,” he told me.
Here’s the kicker: it’s not the quaint, narrow alleyway experience some imagine when they think of Venice. Instead, it’s more spacious, more modern, but still very much Venetian. It’s perfect if your guest list is on the larger side. One downside: it lacks that immediate historic charm of a centuries-old building. It’s more of a modern luxury experience.
Why Not Go for a Church Wedding in Venice?
If your heart is set on a church wedding, Venice does not disappoint. Santa Maria dei Miracoli is a dream—small, intimate, and every inch a work of art. I attended a wedding here where the ceremony felt almost sacred, with echoes of centuries of love stories in the walls. You can’t replicate that atmosphere.
That said, church weddings in Venice are steeped in tradition. Be prepared for a few more formalities and possibly a bilingual ceremony. And you’ll need to book well in advance—churches here are in high demand.
People Also Ask:
- Are wedding venues in Venice expensive? While palace venues tend to be pricey, there are more affordable options like hidden gardens or waterfront retreats. It all comes down to your vision and budget.
- Can you have an outdoor wedding in Venice? Yes, but it’s crucial to plan around the weather, as Venice can be unpredictable. Many venues offer both indoor and outdoor options just in case.
- Do Venice wedding venues accommodate large parties? Some, like the JW Marriott, do, but many of the more traditional venues are smaller and better suited for intimate gatherings.
Final Thoughts
Venice truly is a city for lovers, and there’s something incredibly poetic about saying “I do” in a place where love stories have been woven for centuries. Whether you go for grandeur, intimacy, waterfront charm, or historic beauty, your wedding venue in Venice will be unforgettable. Just remember to embrace the quirks—like the occasional bell chime or a gondolier singing in the background. It’s part of the magic.
At the end of the day, Venice doesn’t just set the scene—it becomes a character in your love story. And that’s a memory worth every bit of planning.
