If you love colour as much as we do then you are going to love this beautiful vibrant boho wedding inspiration. Everyone knows that you can never have too much colour, but if you are a little afraid of going a over the top then these ideas show you how to use one or two key tones to create an effective colour palette without having to use all the colours of the rainbow.

When I think of a bridal shower I often think of it as a rather muted affair, the decor is traditionally white and the guests sip tea whilst delicately nibbling at their sandwiches as the bride is showered with gifts. So you can imagine how much we love a bridal shower that turns that vision on its head and that is the very reason I am so excited to share today’s shoot with you. With it’s raw bohemian vibe, neutral tones and splashes of vibrant colour it is all you could want for a fun and modern bridal shower.

With the challenges of planning a wedding well and truly sinking in, I would be lying if I said, I hadn’t already thought about eloping? Hasn’t every bride?

Even committing to a date has been a problem, with suppliers being booked up to two years in advance I am feeling the pressure to start throwing money around like confetti but as we all know too well, life has this way of chucking obstacles in the mix and who really knows where they will be even 1 month from now, a lot can change in two years damn it!

So here’s the thing I keep thinking to myself, wouldn’t it just be easier if we packed our bags headed somewhere cool, had an intimate ceremony and then spent the next two weeks having a holiday of a lifetime? Sure, a few people would get their feelings hurt but I like to think we have the most amazing family and friends that would support us no matter what we decide.

You probably think I am going a little crazy, how can I feel this way when I see hundreds of gorgeous weddings every day? To be honest I’m not quite sure and I am really hoping someone is going to tell me it is totally natural? In the meantime I usually find when dealing with big decisions, it helps to make a list of all the reasons you think the grass will be greener, so here are my reasons for thinking an elopement would be better than a wedding and please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

1. Some people don’t like being the centre of attention! Not me, I love it! But if truth be known, for Mr T, the thought of having to profess his undying love to me, in a room full of people, fills him with dread. In the lead up to the big day, I know he will be really worried about saying his vows and do I feel comfortable knowing that he will probably be dreading what should be one of the happiest days of his life because of that? Not really!

2. I hate the fact that this is one of my main reasons but MONEY! I find it really really hard to part with cash and spending all that money on one day quite frankly makes me feel a bit sick. Don’t get me wrong I know it’s totally worth it and if money was no object then a wedding would be a no brainer, but at this stage it’s more of case of shall we save for a wedding or for a house – being a grown up sucks sometimes!
