MAKE THIS ADORABLE JUST MARRIED DOOR MAT DIY

DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-7

A lot of newlyweds say to us that once their wedding was over they felt a little sad that they didn’t have any more projects to get stuck into and this made us think about all the just married DIYs that could be made once you’ve tied the knot to keep the spirit of your special day going! Say hello to the just married door mat! It’s the perfect way to let the world know that you’re celebrating and is a super fun and easy craft that you can make after your wedding! If you like, you could even make it before hand and have it ready, or I love the idea of one of the bridesmaids making one and surprising the bride and groom with it once they get home! How cute would that be?! Here’s how to make your own…

DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-1 DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-6

YOU WILL NEED:

A door mat // Spraint paint in the colours of your choice (we used Rustoleum Candy Pink and Rustoleum Berry Pink) // Rustoleum Crystal Clear Protective Coat // A Cricut machine* // Just Married Template** // Cardstock // tape // newspaper //

*If you don’t have a Cricut then fret not! You can still create the DIY, you’ll just need to draw the stencil onto card using a ruler and pencil, then cut out the pieces using a stanley knife

**We’ve included the Just Married template above, but if you’re using a bigger size mat (like me) you’ll probably need to cut out the ‘JUST’ first on one piece of card, followed by ‘MAR’ and then ‘RIED’ also on separate pieces of card. The templates for these are here: ‘JUST‘ , ‘MAR‘ , ‘RIED

DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-4 DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-3

STEP 1:

Either upload the templates to the Cricut design space and set your machine to cut out the card stock or as said above, cut out the stencils by free hand.

STEP 2:

Once everything is cut out you’ll want to tape the templates down to the mat, making sure that they’re secure. I used double sided tape to stick the middle of the A’s, D’s, etc down.

DIY PUNNY COCKTAIL SHAKER

diy-punny-graphic-cocktail-shaker-club-crafted-2

If you’re already dreaming of the weekend then today’s DIY is for you my friend! Holly from Club Crafted is back with this super fun cocktail shaker DIY! I mean why pour your drinks from a regular shaker when you can pun it up?! Over to Holly…

I, Holly, love a good cocktail and a good pun. After starting to mess around with new cocktail recipes these last few months, I started collecting pretty shakers and there was just one thing missing…puns!

Naturally, shaking up a cocktail always makes me think of “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift, so I thought it was the perfect line for making a simple punny cocktail shaker. With some colorful vinyl and my Cricut machine, this was really simple to make and adds a little humour to my drink-making.

diy-punny-graphic-cocktail-shaker-club-crafted

Vinyl is a great craft supply for a variety of projects, and even though I used a cutting machine, you don’t necessarily need one. Just keep in mind it will require more work to cut with a knife. Here’s how to make a punny cocktail shaker of your own!

YOU WILL NEED:

Plastic cocktail shaker (I purchased this small one) // Colorful vinyl // Cutting machine OR alphabet stencil with craft knife // Cricut vinyl transfer tape //

STEP 1:

Wash and dry the shaker first.

A pink ice bucket (or a normal ice bucket, I just spray painted this one with Rustoleum’s candy pink) // Dark pink vinyl // yellow vinyl // transfer tape // A cricut explore (or you can cut the stencil’s out free hand if you don’t have one, they just won’t be as perfect) // Emoji Heart Template 1 // Emoji Heart Template 2 //

2 DIY SOCKS YOU NEED TO MAKE FOR YOUR TOOTSIES THIS XMAS!

diy-christmas-socks-polka-dot-gold-cactus-glitter-pink-make-your-own-tutorial-cricut-1

Socks are such a staple at Christmas, I really don’t think that there has ever been a Christmas in my life when I didn’t receive socks as a present and I am totally ok with that! I love socks, especially the warm and cosy kind but most of all socks that look cute are the best! I feel like now, more than ever socks are becoming a really big thing in fashion (we’re looking at you Happy Socks!) and I thought it would be super fun to design a couple of pairs this year!
diy-christmas-socks-polka-dot-gold-cactus-glitter-pink-make-your-own-tutorial-cricut-2

There are 2 different designs to make completely for free to help make your own! Whether you’re gifting them to friends, your bridesmaids or just to yourself there’s no denying that these socks are beyond cute! We have a cute cactus print or for something really simple and fun a gold polka design! It’s totally up to you what colour socks you go for but we decided on a shade of pink and a white pair for the gold polka dots. Here’s what you’ll need to make your own…

YOU WILL NEED:

Plain cotton socks //  Cactus design // An Iron // Gold glitter iron on // Green glitter iron on // A Cricut Explore //

FOR THE POLKA DOT SOCKS

diy-christmas-socks-polka-dot-gold-cactus-glitter-pink-make-your-own-tutorial-cricut-3

Simply create a circle shape in your Cricut design space (I sized the circles 1 inch in diameter)  and load in your gold iron on into the machine. Allow the machine to cut it out then peel away the negative space leaving only the polka dots. Heat up your iron and iron on the dots, varying the placement as you go, making sure that you cover the entire of the socks. Super simple!

MAKE THIS FUN SLOGAN CHRISTMAS JUMPER

diy-slogan-graphic-christmas-jumper-diy-iron-on-all-the-jingle-ladies-cricut-pink-black-glitter-2

Christmas isn’t Christmas without a festive jumper am I right?! This year on Christmas day our family is holding a Christmas jumper competition and there’s going to be a prize for the best one! I literally have no idea what jumper to wear yet but I’m toying with making my own and I do love me a good pun! I’ve seen a few Christmas puns going around on different cards this year, SLEIGH MY NAME being one of my favourites but the best one yet has to be ‘ALL THE JINGLE LADIES’! SO brilliant, and it’s no secret that i’m obsessed with Beyonce (make sure you check out our Beyonce lyric glasses here!)

So, I thought I would iron on that particular Beyonce Christmas pun onto one of my old jumpers and I love how it turned out! The best news is you can grab the exact stencil I designed below and create the jumper yourself! Here’s how…

diy-slogan-graphic-christmas-jumper-diy-iron-on-all-the-jingle-ladies-cricut-pink-black-glitter-4

YOU WILL NEED:

A plain jumper // An iron // All the jingle ladies template, A Cricut Explore & black glitter iron on* OR Iron on letters in the colours of your choice //

diy-slogan-graphic-christmas-jumper-diy-iron-on-all-the-jingle-ladies-cricut-pink-black-glitter-5

STEP 1:

If you’re just using your own iron on letters for this then simply space them where you want them on the jumper and iron them on! If you’re using your Cricut machine however then upload the above template to your design space and set your Cricut to cut out in Iron on material. Make sure that you check mirror image at the time of cut so it doesn’t come out backwards!

Do you guys ever make your own advent calendars? I make one every year for my other half and always love finding creative ways to wrap up or display the little presents! Last year I made a bunch of different sized boxes to open and the year before I wrapped them up in festive fabric and hung them along a branch!

diy-advent-calendar-christmas-tree-pyramid-modern-colourful-handmade-cricut-card-sweets-candy-chocolate-2 diy-advent-calendar-christmas-tree-pyramid-modern-colourful-handmade-cricut-card-sweets-candy-chocolate-12 diy-advent-calendar-christmas-tree-pyramid-modern-colourful-handmade-cricut-card-sweets-candy-chocolate-19

diy-advent-calendar-christmas-tree-pyramid-modern-colourful-handmade-cricut-card-sweets-candy-chocolate-25

YOU WILL NEED:

Pastel card // Vinyl (or sticker numbers) // Craft Glue // *A Cricut Explore //A bunch of chocolates and goodies to fill them calendar with! // Tree Template //

*If you don’t have a Cricut Explore then not too worry, simply print the template out onto card and cut out the shapes and score by hand!

STEP 1:

If you’re using a Cricut then open up the Cricut Design space and upload the above pyramid template. You’ll need to add in score lines where the dashed lines are so that the machine knows where to score.

STEP 2:

Next you’ll need to duplicate that shape 25 times! We then resized some of these, making some larger and some smaller so that the calendar looks more interesting when all the tress are placed together!

STEP 3:

Next hit go on your Cricut machine and load in your pastel card! You’ll want to make sure that your scoring stylus is in too so that the machine can score where it needs to for you!
