MAKE THIS ADORABLE JUST MARRIED DOOR MAT DIY

DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-7

A lot of newlyweds say to us that once their wedding was over they felt a little sad that they didn’t have any more projects to get stuck into and this made us think about all the just married DIYs that could be made once you’ve tied the knot to keep the spirit of your special day going! Say hello to the just married door mat! It’s the perfect way to let the world know that you’re celebrating and is a super fun and easy craft that you can make after your wedding! If you like, you could even make it before hand and have it ready, or I love the idea of one of the bridesmaids making one and surprising the bride and groom with it once they get home! How cute would that be?! Here’s how to make your own…

DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-1 DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-6

YOU WILL NEED:

A door mat // Spraint paint in the colours of your choice (we used Rustoleum Candy Pink and Rustoleum Berry Pink) // Rustoleum Crystal Clear Protective Coat // A Cricut machine* // Just Married Template** // Cardstock // tape // newspaper //

*If you don’t have a Cricut then fret not! You can still create the DIY, you’ll just need to draw the stencil onto card using a ruler and pencil, then cut out the pieces using a stanley knife

**We’ve included the Just Married template above, but if you’re using a bigger size mat (like me) you’ll probably need to cut out the ‘JUST’ first on one piece of card, followed by ‘MAR’ and then ‘RIED’ also on separate pieces of card. The templates for these are here: ‘JUST‘ , ‘MAR‘ , ‘RIED

DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-4 DIY Just Married Door Mat Spray Paint Rustoleum Cricut Newlywed Project Tutorial-3

STEP 1:

Either upload the templates to the Cricut design space and set your machine to cut out the card stock or as said above, cut out the stencils by free hand.

STEP 2:

Once everything is cut out you’ll want to tape the templates down to the mat, making sure that they’re secure. I used double sided tape to stick the middle of the A’s, D’s, etc down.

MAKE THIS CUTE DIY HEART LOLLIPOP PIÑATA

DIY Heart Lollipop Piñata for Valentines Day party fun pinata tutorial-10

So it’s one week to go until Valentines Day and we’ve still got some super cute DIYs to share to with you for the big day! Today we’re welcoming Patricia from Hello Eventos to the blog, she’s going to be sharing with you how you can make this ridiculously cute heart lollipop piñata! So without further ado, over to you Patricia…

DIY Heart Lollipop Piñata for Valentines Day party fun pinata tutorial-11

Hey! I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Patricia and I’m a party stylist and blogger at Hello Eventos in Spain. Let me tell you that I’m super glad to be on Bespoke Bride today and even more for a Valentines Day DIY piñata! As a party lover, I’m crazy for the day that we celebrate LOVE and every year I do something special for my valentine. This year I was thinking of creating a piñata and what’s better than a heart lollipop?! Heart lollipops are one of my favorite treats. I filled the piñata with lots of them and can’t wait to open it back up and share all of the candy! Let’s do it!

YOU WILL NEED:

Cardboard (I upcycled a big box from a delivery) // A cardboard tube // Red and white crepe paper // Scissors // Glue gun // Treats and confetti // Rope or lace //

STEP 1:

First we need to shape the heart so cut 2 cardboard hearts and 2 stripes out of your cardboard.

STEP 2:

Hot glue the stripes to the first heart. Leave 10cm of the bottom end of one of the stripes without glue because this will be the door way for the candies. Next, hot glue the second half on top.

STEP 3:

Using your glue gun, adhere the cardboard tube to the bottom of the heart then cut the word LOVE out of the cardboard. Fix the rope or lace to the inside of the door way and attach the word LOVE at the end of the rope.

DIY BALLOON WALL BACKDROP FOR YOUR NYE PARTY!

diy-balloon-backdrop-new-years-eve-photo-booth-colourful-fun-decor-ideas-tutorial-17

WOOHOO New year’s eve is almost upon us and it’s time to get into that party feeling! (unless you are already of course from all the Christmas festivities!) If you’re going to be throwing your own party this year then why not make a fun balloon backdrop for your guests to take photos in front of? It will be a great talking point and doesn’t just have to be for new year’s eve! How ace would this look at a wedding?! You could even match the balloons to your theme!

The amazing Paula from The Giant Balloon Co sent us all of these gorgeous balloons to create this backdrop, we went for different shades of pinks, gold and whites and we love how it turned out! Here’s how to recreate the look…

diy-balloon-backdrop-new-years-eve-photo-booth-colourful-fun-decor-ideas-tutorial-10 diy-balloon-backdrop-new-years-eve-photo-booth-colourful-fun-decor-ideas-tutorial-8

YOU WILL NEED:

Normal sized balloons & small balloons in a variation of colours (We used around 50 on the wall and had about 30 on the floor) // Balloon pump // Strong tape (We used parcel tape) // Sellotape //

STEP 1:

Blow up all of your balloons using your pump so that you can see exactly what you have of each. We found it best to blow up the normal size balloons to full size and a medium size just so that we could fit them in the gaps easier and create a more interesting look with lots of different sizes.

STEP 2:

Start by taping a few of your biggest balloons to the wall, securing them in place on the ends of the balloons. Vary the colours as you build around each balloon.

STEP 3:

Keep going and filling in the gaps with your smallest balloons. We used sellotape to adhere these to the other balloons and keep them in place.
