One quick look around Bespoke Bride and you’ll find it’s pretty obvious that we’re not HUGE fans of being traditional, you wouldn’t find me throwing a beautiful bouquet that someone has poured their heart into creating just because it’s tradition and I’m not sure I would wear ‘something blue’ on my wedding day but one tradition I do really love is the garter.
I think that there is something so beautiful, sexy and elegant about them when they’re done well and one company that get’s it right every-single-time is the Wedding Garter Co. Their garters range from simplistic to pretty and embellished to fancy, all oozing elegance and style! In case you’re not familiar with The Wedding Garter Co you’ll be pleased to know that every single garter is handmade and has been lovingly crafted in their Bath workshop. Meaning each item truly is an heirloom piece that you can cherish!
Right, let’s talk dresses shall we? Because it’s not always easy to know what style of garter you can wear with different types of wedding dresses. For example, if you’re wearing a dress or skirt that has lot’s of layers then you really can choose from a wide range of garters, in fact you could wear any type that you like, whether it’s lace, silk, tulle or embellished, the garter world is your oyster!
However, if you’re going to be wearing a tight fitting gown then you might want to consider a simple silk garter, The Wedding Garter Co have garters (Like the ‘Hera’ garter) that have been specifically designed to be more sleek and discreet, making them the perfect hidden accessory. (Top Tip: Wear them just above the knee to keep them more concealed)Details
The Rock n Roll Bride for Crown & Glory collections have been creating quite a buzz ever since they launched their very first collab together nearly three years ago. Kat & Sophie have created a range of bridal accessories that really is like no other and have previously included floral cat ears, Glitter belts, ‘Bride to Be’ Headbands (my personal fave!) and much more. But now the girls have moved on to something bigger and better!
Since announcing the latest range would be veils, Kat has been teasing sneak peeks on her instagram which has been getting us all sorts of excited but last week was the official launch and we have been dying to share the range ever since! Well we have some exciting news for you! Not only are we sharing the launch with you today, you can now shop the full range in BB boutique!
The capsule collection is made up of six pieces that can all be customised to suit a bride’s own, distinctive style. The glitter bows come in 30 colour options, the heart encrusted gem pieces can be created in any colour, and the Circle Slogan Veil was designed specifically to allow brides to stamp their own word or phrase on it! These pieces are designed to be as individual as the brides that will wear them.
Kat added, “These veils are for the babes with punk rock in their hearts who leave a trail of glitter and magic as they stomp down the aisle. They’re for girls who match their hair to their favourite lipstick.”Details
It’s no secret how much we love The Wedding Garter Co and their beautiful garters so when we heard they were creating a site specifically for the US we just knew we had to share it with our readers across the pond! The good news is the site still features all of the gorgeous garters that are available on the UK site and don’t worry, if you don’t live in the UK or USA, The Wedding Garter Co still ship worldwide from their shop in Bath! To celebrate the new launch we thought we would share a few of our favourites garters…all styled amongst pretty flowers and macarons of course….Details
