When a VERY well known bridal magazine asked their followers to post their top pre-wedding diet tips on their Facebook page last week, I think I speak for all wedding bloggers when I say I was mad! But mostly, I was  disappointed! Disappointed that a publication as influential as this was still ignoring our pleas to market in a socially responsible way. Simply put, women are frequently told that they need to lose weight. Consider how many weight loss advertisements you will be exposed to in a day, on TV, social media, in magazines and newspapers. Sure, dieting is a pretty big industry and many of us actually do want to lose weight but do we really want to be told to use what should be the happiest day of our lives as ‘motivation’ to size down.
