HOW TO NOT LET A HURRICANE RUIN YOUR WEDDING DAY: REBECCA & DAMIAN

Carnival Wedding Balloon Heart Arch

So what do you do if a hurricane suddenly hits your wedding venue just weeks after you have decided on it. Well you up and move it all to your backyard of course! After Hurricane Sandy demolished Rebecca and Damian seaside venue they decided to renovate their whole backyard and host the wedding there instead. Pretty extreme some might think, but I agree with this couple when they say it will be a memory that they get to keep forever!

Stylish, Intimate Family Picnic Wedding: Courtney & Cosmo

Stylish, Intimate Family Picnic Wedding (28)

I have been so excited to share this wedding with you guys today! First lets talk about this brides style! She didn’t have just one but two dresses. The first was a pretty and chic floral number and the second, a seriously sexy red dress. Next we should talk about the couples awesome choice of venue which was a very cute little library in Westminster and finally, the best part (in my opinion!) was the couples choice to ditch the normal reception ideas and head to Hyde park with family and friends instead for a picnic – perfect! Oh did I mention, this whole event was planned in just 6 weeks!!! Seriously, there is so much more I could talk about, but instead, I am going to let Courtney fill you in on the rest of the details…

A Handcrafted Nautical Wedding: Jenni & Paul

A Nautical themed DIY Wedding (18)

“Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, I do like to be beside the sea!”

Ahem sorry I couldn’t help myself! I am most happiest when I am on a beach and surprisingly British seasides have to be up there as one of my favourite places to visit. There is something so quaint about eating fish and chips from a traditional chippy whilst overlooking the sea so it is no surprise to me that Jenni and Paul wanted to include a little bit of old fashioned seaside fun on their wedding day.

We invited Jenni to tell us all about her nautical themed wedding along with her many DIY projects including the best maritime seating plan I have ever seen!

A Novel of Love: Tom & Marie

A 1930's Book Lover Wedding Inspired by Jayne Eyre

One of the things I love the most when writing for Bespoke Bride is seeing peoples weddings brought to life, the images we post here are the results of their ideas, their visions and their dreams. What makes them even more special is listening to their experiences, how the wedding come to be, what the themes, decor and moments meant to the the couple. We are always so honoured to be able to share what is one of the biggest days of their lives!

I had so much fun reading Marie & Tom’s story today. Marie reminds me a lot of myself, she has visions and ideas in her head of how she wants a certain thing to be and feel but it is up to the extra special people around her to help extract those things and bring them to life. Todays story is a tale of romance, magic, dancing & merriment and I think you will agree it really is like something straight of a novel.

Here is bride Marie to tell you more…

A Small Country Wedding Planned in Just 4 Months: Vicky & Paul

A Small English Country Garden Wedding

Woo hoo it’s Saturday and in my never ending bid to try and slow down the approach of winter I wanted to share this summery english garden wedding with you all today. Now I am not usually one for pastels but the decor in this wedding is so darn cute. What shocked me the most is that Vicky and Paul created this whole wedding in just 4 months and on a serious budget. The amazing Cake that you are about to feast your eyes on was made by the brides mum, the florals are all handpicked garden flowers and the bunting was so sewn by Vicky’s aunt. We best not forget to mention that the groom played a massive part in this fun-filled budget wedding too, creating his own DIY photobooth and card box. This is one very talented family!

A Hand Crafted Wedding Beside the Brooklyn Bridge, New York – Giordana & Justin

Segneri_Codd_JESSICAOHPHOTOGRAPHY_166410_justinandgiordana202858620of2021429_0

Justin and Giordana played hooky with their closest family and friends and married beside the Brooklyn Bridge in New York! The entire day was built around creativity and merriment, including a post-ceremony ice cream break before a happy ride on the world-famous Jane’s Carousel! (amazing) Giordana even wore her mother’s wedding dress from the 70’s and asked everyone else to show up in bright, festive colours! Every single detail was hand crafted by the couple and their parents or their favorite Etsy vendors! Talk about a personal and awesome wedding right?!

A Shabby Chic Champagne Brunch Wedding: Jeannine & Gib

Thibaut_Shellenberger_Lizard_Nickel_Photography_GibJeannine317_low

When a bride describes her wedding as ‘shabby chic’ and ‘ Anthropologie style’ you know you are going to be in for a treat! Lets start with Jeannine’s absolutely gorgeous dress! In my opinion we don’t see enough mini wedding dresses, this beautiful lace number has the most amazing low back and bow detail and I am just so so so so in love with it!

Next there’s the stunning DIY decor, mason jars filled with homemade goodies, an antique armoire filled with sweet treats, recycled window panes for a seating plan and a cute childs bar set up on the back of a truck. Mix that with lawn games for entertainment and tractor rides and I think you have the recipe for one pretty darn fun wedding day.

Lastly, I need to congratulate Gib for growing a moustache that even Yosemite Sam would be proud of. I had to show Mr T, who is forever trying to grow a decent beard and I think I might have just caught a glimmer of moustache envy – is there such a thing?

Photographer Liz filled us in on the details of the day…
