Alice in Winterland – A Colourful Trash the Dress Including a Fluffy White Bunny Rabbit

OH MY GOLLY GOSH… Once every now and again something comes along that really makes me fist pump the air with joy and this fantabulous post wedding shoot from Carmen and Ingo certainly made me do just that. Ok so there is nothing new about trashing your dress with a load of powder paint but I have never seen it done with the entire bridal party just having oodles of fun covering each other in the stuff. Also have you ever seen a trash the dress involve some of the most gorgeous animals such as a rabbit, pony and a horse? I think not… but guess what we have for you here!

Serious fist pump air action going on over here…

Sabrina and Hubert had the most amazing Alice in Wonderland themed wedding which you can see here. After the wedding I seriously didn’t think it could get any better than that but Carmen and Ingo know just how to take things to the next level – with a fluffy white bunny rabbit!

So where was I ….. I know back to Kirsty and Luke! I am in love with so many things! Firstly, the bride wore the most fabulous Vivienne Westwood heels and they were bubblegum scented, thats right bubblegum! Secondly, the bridesmaids wore polka dot and thirdly, the wedding cake has to be one of the most amazing cakes I have ever seen. You are in for a treat, over to Kirsty to tell you all about her amazing wedding day…

Alice in Weddingland Bridal Shoot

OK so the idea of an Alice in Wonderland wedding is nothing new, they have become a popular theme for weddings as tea parties made their way back onto the scene, but I have to admit they never grow old. There is something so magical yet a little crazy about the story of Alice in Wonderland. We were ecstatic when Ellis from Ellis Wedding Shows contacted us to let us know that she was going to be organising a Alice in Weddingland shoot.

We popped along on the day to see what was going on and was amazed to see so many creative ideas, from a three tier flower display in teacups to brightly coloured cupcakes and macaroons. There were stripey tights, top hats and a pair of beautiful blue shoes that both myself and Jess fell in love with. Whimsical clocks and furniture were dotted around the set, the makeup artists also had fun painting on key holes and creating some pretty damn awesome hairstyles.

This shoot has so many great ideas for a wedding, I promise you will be completely inspired…

An Invite to the ELLIS Grand Wedding Show 2012, 27th May…

We love to share details of up and coming wedding events on our blog, and today we would like to introduce you to a local company we contacted through mutual friends last year. The creator is Ellis of Ellis wedding shows, a company that specialises in bringing together all types of wedding suppliers under one roof.

Ellis would like to extend an invitation to all our readers, to attend her grand wedding show that she will be hosting on Sunday 27th May from 11am to 3pm, at the Chase Hotel. This is their third annual show, which will play host to over 45 local wedding suppliers and a catwalk performance at 12pm and 2pm.

Ellis said “we pride ourselves on our event themes, and this year it’s Alice in Wonderland The Madness of Love. This quirky and random, yet chic and contemporary theme will leave you fully inspired and will certainly draw the eye in a fun and gorgeous way”
