Anybody else feel like they blinked and August happened? Yep. Me too. This month has been an exciting one for us to say the least! Not only did Emily get engaged (yay!!) but we also launched BB crafty club AND are super super close to sharing the boutique with you guys! EEK! Watch this space it’s coming oh so very soon! For now though here’s what else we’ve been loving and getting up to this past month!

Going to the Etsy Wedding Breakfast! We headed up to London this week to attend the most gorgeous flower arranging workshop and got to really indulge in yummy food when we were there too!  We’ll be sharing more on this event soon so watch this space!

Rum bar! It’s becoming my new local on the weekend and I absolutely love it! The cocktails there are delicious and I adore the effort that goes in to making the cocktails look epic!

Bristol Balloon Fiesta! I hadn’t been since I was a little girl and it was brilliant to go again and see all of the balloons take off! We took a little picnic and got ourselves a prime seat for the big launch!

Having cocktails with the Costa Sisters! These babes are the absolute best and we always end up laughing our heads off when we’re together! We had such a yummy meal at Las Iguanas (and one too many mojitos!) then headed to Buffalo bar for the most amazing raspberry cream soda!

OMBRE NAILS! I had mine done all different colours this week and I absolutely love them! They’re very my little pony! You can see them on our Instagram

All of the exciting projects that we’re working on right now! As you already know our brand new subscription boxes are available RIGHT NOW and the boutique will be with you gorgeous lot in a matter of weeks! EEK!!!

Natural skincare products, i’ve been absolutely obsessed with putting coconut oil all over my face and now i’m so excited that someone local to us is launching an entire range of products! There’s a coconut & pumice exfoliator, an avocado & safflower day moisturiser and even a carrot & comfrey face mask, plus loads more! I can’t wait to try them and if you’re all for natural ingredients like I am then you can check it out here!

♥ Of course the highlight of my month has been announcing our engagement!! We have been so overwhelmed with so many messages of love and support! I am so excited to be able to share this journey on our blog!

♥ Another particular highlight has been getting my engagement ring. When Mr T proposed he wanted us to design an engagement ring together! I’ll be writing more about that on the blog soon but all I will say for now is, I never thought I could love a piece of jewellery so much! It is so important to us and I will cherish it forever!

♥ Heading down to the Gower for a long weekend camping. We spent the day doing a coastal walk on the south Gower and ended watching the sun set over the cliffs. It was so beautiful although I really feel as though we waved goodbye to summer that night as the next day the heavens well and truly opened!

♥ Due to bad weather we were pretty much forced inside for much of the weekend so we took ourselves off to the the cinema to watch ‘inside Out! It might be a kids film but it was so good! It certainly made me think about making memories and I have decided to take lots more photos from now on! I don’t want to forget anything!

♥ I might have mentioned once or twice that this month has been a month of big announcements and launching our subscription boxes has been so exciting! We had so much fun curating the first box and I can’t wait for you guys to see what’s in them!

♥ Last but certainly not least we have spent the last few weeks getting our first few suppliers signed up to our new boutique which is due to launch very soon! As we get closer to you guys seeing it for real, I am getting super excited/ nervous but I just know you are going to love it!

WOW, Seriously, where did June go?! I feel like this month has been kind of a whirlwind / roller coaster! We have been very busy little bees attending the Blogcademy, Blogtacular, The Hub & on top of that Emily has jetted off to gorgeous Mexico and I’m off to the Dominic in a couple of weeks so we’ve been working extra hard to ensure there’s lots of delicious content for you to devour when we’re away! It truly has been one AWESOME month! Here’s what we’ve been loving about June…

Styling and attending the Blogcademy! We’re going to be sharing more on this soon but it was such an awesome experience to attend the class again and get a refresher! Me and Em came away so inspired again and can’t wait to get cracking on some new ideas we have!

Having BBQs! I went to two this past weekend and I just really bloody love being able to sit outside, eating yummy food and drinking fruity cider while being surrounded by friends! We all had so much fun and I can’t wait for many more in the summer!

Going to Blogtacular with Cricut, we got to show off the awesome machine to lots of craft bloggers and they were just as amazed as we were once we first discovered it! It was also super interesting to sit in on talks with Pinterest and Grace Bonney from Design Sponge!

Talking at The Hub, this event was really inspiring to be a part of and we were so honoured when asked to speak there! The wedding industry really needed an event like this and I’m so glad it’s now been created! Not only was it filled with fantastic women talking about all aspects of business, blogging and the industry but the decor was also epic and the food was super yum! I mean who doesn’t love an event that has a scheduled tea and cake time?!

Celebrating my birthday! Me and the girls headed to the rum bar in Chepstow and totally indulged in the cocktails! It was ace to spend the evening laughing and dancing! James also took me out to my favourite Italian restaurant (San Carlo in Bristol) and I had THE BEST pasta ever! It was called the trio of pasta and the chef randomly selects 3 different dishes for you try, needless to say they were all amaze!

Seeing my sister having the time of her life! She’s in America for around 6 months teaching kids rock climbing and zip lining at a summer camp and it looks so fun! I am so desperate to go out there and see her!

♥ Well it’s obvious that top of my love list this month has to be that I am currently on my hols in Mexico! We are having the most amazing time, the weather is just beautiful and I am feeling thoroughly relaxed!

♥ Our hotel here is pretty damn awesome, it is set in the middle of a jungle and is surrounded by wildlife, which is pretty much my dream. We wake every day to an iguana at our patio window and then walk through a forest to breakfast where we have seen howler monkeys, deer and possum type things that I am yet to fully identify?

♥ Visiting my favourite theme/wildlife park in the whole world ‘Xcaret’! We have been here before but we couldn’t resist visiting a second time. It is such an amazing place, surrounded by all types of wildlife, jungle and underground rivers it was so much fun! My favourite part has to be watching the voladores de papantla or flying men. Five men start at the top of a 60ft pole playing music with sticks and whistles and then they perform all sorts of crazy moves like jumping on top of the poll on one foot and leaning of the edge whilst playing the whistles, all completely unaided, until eventually four of the men fall over the edge tied to ribbon and the spin and spin until the reach the ground. If you have no idea what I am talking about YouTube them, you will be amazed!

♥ Watching the end of night Mexican show! I loved learning all about he Mayan history and cultures in different parts of Mexico.

♥ Exploring Xelha, snorkelling in a massive lagoon, swimming in cenotes and the highlight was riding a zip bike over the jungle canopy!

♥ Swimming with Whale Sharks!! I have sooooo wanted to do this again after swimming with them in Maldives last year! This time we saw 2 and we were able to swim with them 3 times as they stuck to the same area feeding! It was epic!! if you have ever have the chance do it, they are the most amazing creatures and the sheer size of them is astounding!

Me and Emily are huge believers in paying it forward and helping other people out whenever and wherever we can, there’s something so rewarding about bringing a smile to someone’s face, even in the smallest way! Sometimes it’s not always easy to do your ‘daily good deed’ and before you know it time has ticked on without helping some one else out for a while. Well, not anymore. Our friends Saf and Simon have launched the most AWESOME new social network that connects people who need help with people who want to help! You might even be able to help someone from your sofa and earn yourself some ‘karma points’ while you’re at it! It really can be that simple! You can read all about it here and even donate to help fund the social network go even further! We bloody love the idea and can’t wait to get started ourselves! Here’s what else we’ve been loving this week…

Having our styled shoot with Free People and tons of other talented suppliers! We’ll be sharing more about it here soon with a behind the scenes but we were so over the moon with how it turned out and loved the festival spirit of everyone!

Having my friend Anne come and stay for the weekend, it was so nice to see her and spend time with her!

Rock climbing! LOL! Who ever thought I would say that, I’m terrified of heights but me, Anne and my sister Lyd headed to a rock climbing centre last weekend and I really enjoyed the challenge! Granted, I freaked out a lot but I was still proud of myself!

Meeting up with Emily, Erin & Helen for lunch at Wagamamas! It was so nice to have loads of blogger chat over a big bowl of yummy noodles!

Lyd’s birthday! We’re going to have a spa day next week as a delayed celebration and I can’t wait to get pampered & massaged!

Chepstow on a bank holiday, it’s always so much fun because you end up seeing so many people that you haven’t seen for so long! The Rum Bar held a Gatsby themed night too complete with a Photo Booth so naturally we were in it most of the night!

Getting into the festival spirit for our styled shoot with Free People! We are just so excited to share this collab with you!!!

Last weekend was part 2 of my friends hen. We started the day with a quiz over lunch, just to find out exactly how much our bride knew about her groom (if you ask me, we found out a little too much :D) and then that evening was spent drinking cocktails, eating yummy food at Las Iguanas and then on to watch Dirty Dancing! I think it was fair to say our bride ‘had the time of her life’!

It is safe to say I spent the rest of Sunday recovering from the weekends hen shenanigans but as it was bank holiday I couldn’t  be a total lazy bum, so Monday we headed to the garden centre, which sounds very grown up doesn’t it, but I don’t care, I loved it 😀

♥ This week I also become mommy to a new kitty called Nori. She is a rescue, we think about 2 years old and was found living under a hedge. We have no idea how she came to be there but she was never found by her owners and as the original finders couldn’t keep her, I just had to have her with me. I was a little worried at first about how she would be with Mr Popo our man around the house, and at first he was not happy but yesterday I caught them snuggled on my bed together so I think they are going to be best of friends!

Lunch with Helen, Erin & Emily. We talked all things blogging which was lots of fun!

Exciting talks with Cricut! I can’t say too much (which I know is really annoying) but lets just say uber amazing things are happening!!!

Happy Friday you lovely lot! Me and Emily are currently in Cardigan after spending yesterday at the Snap Photography Festival! I love our little road trips we have, they always result in lots of laughs, good music, junk food and an awful lot of singing! (Speaking of which, you can see our road trip to Brighton here if you like!) We’ll be sharing more about the festival next week so keep your eyes peeled! For now though, here’s what else we’ve up to this week and loving in the blogosphere…

Having a family board games night! I spent Saturday night playing Cluedo and Jenga with my sister and my parents! It was alot of fun, I forgot how much I bloody love a good old fashion board game!

Spending the day in Clevedon with Lyd! We explored, walked along the seaside and ate pub lunch outside in the sunshine!

Watching the new Fast & Furious Film, I’ve been watching these films since I was about 13 so they always have some sort of nostalgia involved with me! Naturally I was all emotional at the end of this film though.

Reading outside with a cup of tea, it’s been sooooooo nice to be able to relax and get lost in a good book with the sun beaming down on my back!

Using my Easter bath bomb, it was the golden egg and boy oh boy it did not disappoint!! My skin felt so smooth and buttery afterwards and the water was shimmering gold for the entire bath!

Making plans for the summer! Glastonbury tickets go back on sale this Sunday and I’m praying I can get my hands on some! I’ll also hopefully be spending some time in France and the Dominican Republic later in the year so I’m getting super excited!!

♥ Catching up with my cousin and her beautiful little boy Arlo! He is such a cutie, I could have played and snuggled with him all day!

Long walks in the sun with Mr T, then coming home to a delicious cooked dinner – simple things!

Spending the day with Jess making lots of beautiful DIY  floral pieces. I am so pleased with how they all turned out and everytime I look at them they make me smile. Is it just me or do flowers have that effect?

Having the first BBQ of the year! Ok so it was still slightly cold and the wind starting blowing a gale halfway through cooking but it was sunny and that was all that mattered!

Receiving cute invitations in the post for our friends baby shower!

Watching Horrible Bosses 2! I loved the first one and just hadn’t gotten round to watching the second one yet, but it was definitely worth a watch, very funny and Jennifer Aniston had me in stitches!

Woohoo! It’s Good Friday and you know what that means…Easter is just around the corner…AKA a day filled with eating tons of chocolate! Yep. That’s how I’m going to be spending my weekend! How will you spending yours? Meanwhile it’s been a busy week for us, here’s what we’ve been getting up to and loving on our favourite blogs…Grab yourself an egg, a cuppa and indulge!

Trying out new recipes, this week me & James have cooked this tortellini dish twice and it’s seriously SO GOOD! I love sun dried tomatoes so it’s right up my street!

Going to a Pub Quiz on Saturday night and coming second! Woohoo! We won £20 haha and they had a Disney round so I was clearly in my element!

Staring week 4 of the couch to 5K challenge, it seems to be getting harder yet somehow easier every week too?! Either way once I’ve completed that day’s challenge I always feel super good!

Receiving a lovely present from The Watch Hut in the form of a jaw droppingly beautiful mint green Armani watch! I haven’t taken it off since and don’t know how I ever lived without it!

♥ Watching Big Hero 6!! It was so funny and so cute, I want to get myself a Baymax!

Baking for Easter! Making a salted caramel and chocolate tart topped with mini eggs is all kinds of yum and perfect for the weekend!

For date night, Mr T took me to a cinema trip to watch Insurgent! I absolutely loved it! I am such a sucker for these young adult pulp fiction type films. Anyway I highly recommend giving it watch if you haven’t already.

I was also treated to dinner at a Diner , which was actually quite naughty as I am meant to be staying well away from carbs and sugar, but hey ho’ you only live once! Honestly I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I tried the Banana & Peanut butter milkshake. Delicious!

♥ My favourite Liz Earle Essentials Kit arrived this week in time for my holiday. Well when I say in time, I’m not actually going until June but you can never be too organised, right?

♥ Spending the afternoon with my friend Jenny and her little boy, Lucas. I always so much fun with these two! We had lunch, played dress up, raced cars, watched Frozen and painted our nails. All in the day of a 4 year old!

Filming our latest YouTube video! Me and Jess wanted to do something a little different this week and it turned out to be a right laugh. I hope you enjoy it just as much as we did, keep an eye out for it next week!

♥ I have finally finished all 5 seasons of Pretty Little Liars on Netflix. It has been a real rollercoaster of ups and downs, I really dont know what I am going to do with myself now!

Happy Friday babes! Have you had a good week? Ours has been all sorts of fun! We’ve been busy creating DIYs for you (one may have involved cake….which we may or may not have eaten half of), we’ve also been drinking lot’s of tea (as always!) and we’ve been setting up a couple of styled shoots for the summer which we can’t wait to shoot and share with you! Here’s what else we’ve been getting up to and loving this week…

Having lunch in Chepstow with my sister and having a couple of cheeky Mojitos while we were there! The food was delicious at rum bar and the cocktails were even better!

Going for a super long walk with Mushu on a beautiful sunny afternoon, we just kept walking and walking and we even stopped for ice-cream!

Getting up and going for a run in the morning, I actually never thought I would hear those words come out of my mouth but it does definitely make me feel so much more motivated for the rest of the day!

Having our shoes arrive from Upper Street! That’s right my friend, shoes that we designed ourselves! I can’t quite believe I own a pair, can’t wait to strut my stuff in them!!

Starting 50 Shades Freed! There’s no stopping me now, I’m finally on the third book!

Spending the day at my friend Hannah’s with her little boy Ellis, he’s such a sweetie and it was so nice to be treated to lunch and lots of girlie talk!

Being waited on hand and foot! Ha! Thats not quite as bad as it sounds. This week I was really ill with a nasty virus so it was down to Mr T to look after me and a fine job he did too. There was a constant supply of tea, hot water bottles and helpings of dry toast. You will be glad to know I made a quick recovery and I am now back to fighting fit!

♥ Being ill definitely has its perks, I also got to be super lazy and watch loads more of episodes of Pretty Little Liars on Netflix.

Tuesday was date night and as I am dying to see the new film ‘Insurgent’, it meant I had to watch ‘Divergent’ first. It was awesome and I now cant wait for date night next week, as a trip to the cinema will be on the cards!

A huge highlight of this week was finally receiving the shoes we had designed with Upper Street. Keep your eyes peeled next week as there will be photos galore!!!

Upper Street won again this week when I found out that they had actually put the shoe I had designed onto their website for sale and named it after me. Here is the link if you would like to take a little gander!! Eeeep I actually have a shoe named after me!!!!

Booya! It’s Friday! And what busy little bees me and Emily have been this week! We spent the first half of the week in London Town having meetings, attending events, shopping, drinking, eating and exploring and then we both slowed down the pace for the rest of the week…I may or may not be writing this from the sofa. In my PJs. Here’s what else what we’ve been loving getting up to this week….

♥ Having Emily over for dinner! Every now and then we take the time to have a girlie night without any work! I cooked caramelised onion pizza to start and a yummy sweet potato & peanut butter curry for main and we spent the evening watching Saturday night TV and chatting!

♥ Meeting our friends Anne & Matt for dinner (& mojitos!) in London, we don’t get to see them very often so it was so nice to have a relaxed dinner and a good laugh together!

♥ Doing a spot of shopping on Oxford Street! Where we live, the shops on only have one floor for womenswear, so you can imagine our excitement in topshop and H&M when they had about 4 or 5 floors!

♥ Having high tea at the Berkely with Cricut! They put on a special event for their bloggers at this amazing hotel and I was blown away by the detail of the ‘fashionista’s tea’! I’m talking little cakes made into handbags, biscuits in the shape of shoes and gingerbread ball gowns!

♥ Designing our own shoes at Upper Street, oh em gee! Part of our goodie bags from the wedding blog awards last year included a pair of shoes designed however we like (!!!!) and so me and Emily took the opportunity to choose ours while we were in London! You can see a video of the whole epic experience here!

♥ Reading 50 shades darker. I know, I know, I’m super late to this party but after watching the first film I really wanted to know what happened next so I bought the book before we got on the bus back from London and was on chapter 5 by the time we arrived home! I am well and truly hooked!

Having a relaxing girls night in with Jess, eating delicious food and experiencing Saturday Night Takeaway for the first time. I laughed ALOT!

Heading to London for a few businessy bits and bobs, although it wasn’t entirely business though, as we spent the first day shopping on Oxford Street and catching up with old friends. Not bad huh!

As Jess already mentioned we were also treated to High Tea at the Berkeley when we met with Cricut this week and it was sooooo cool! Imagine cakes made into the shapes of handbags, biscuits made into glittery gold dresses and of  course, lots of posh sandwiches!

I was so excited to finally get round to designing my own shoes at Upper Street this week! I was drawn to a particular colour the minute I walked through the door and just had to get myself something similar. Helena was absolutely amazing guiding us through all the different heel sizes, types of shoes and fabrics. I was so impressed with how she could design the shoe using 3d software on her computer so we could see what they would look beforehand, although I cant wait to see what they look like in the flesh. Be prepared for lots of Instagram #shoeporn when they arrive!!

The Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack! Whilst Jess is catching up on the books I have the soundtrack on repeat. The track by Sia has to be my fave, she is soooo talented!!!

This week has been a bit of a strange one for me to say the least, it started out absolutely awesome with a feature in the new Rock n Roll Bride magazine, I also got to meet my best friends new born little boy and had some beautiful fresh flowers bought me but sadly the week ended on a low when I had to say goodbye to my beautiful little cat Bam-bam. She was 13 years old so she lived a wonderful and great life but saying goodbye to a pet is never an easy thing, especially when one is half human like I always believed Bambam was! (she was a chatty little madam) We do however love to focus on the positive things here at Bespoke Bride so it still only felt right that we featured what has made us smile this week and i’ll still smile knowing that we did the right thing for my little furry friend…

Bespoke Bride Instagram

♥ Seeing Hannah and her new born baby boy Ellis! What a cutie he was, im so proud of her too, she did bloody brilliantly!!

♥ Having a super relaxed weekend with no plans whatsoever. Sometimes those are the best weekends, especially when the weather is stormy like it was!

♥ Watching The Great Gatsby, I can’t believe I’ve only just gotten around to watching it! I absolutely loved how beautiful everything was, the scenery, the costumes, and I loved how the soundtrack was so modern for something set so long ago.

♥ SNOW!! We woke up to snow this week! Ok, it was the tiniest amount but it still looked pretty!

♥ Getting bought fresh flowers. There really is nothing that brightens up a rainy day like beautiful fresh flowers!

♥ Seeing our feature in Rock n Roll Bride magazine!!! We were so excited to see something of ours in print, it felt like an awesome achievement!

Weekday lie in’s with the cat! There is nothing quite like the feeling of waking up in the week knowing you don’t have to work that day and everyone else does, especially when it is wet and windy outside!

Cinema dates! Myself and Mr T, carted ourselves off to the cinema this week so that we could finally get round to watching The Hobbit. We couldn’t keep our eyes off the screen the whole time, that film is pretty epic!

♥ As Jess has already mentioned a huge highlight of the week has been seeing one of our favourite DIYs go to print in the new Rock N Roll Bride magazine! If you haven’t had chance to get it yet, then why the hell not? And you need to hurry because it sold out online pretty darn quickly!!!

♥ Another particular highlight was seeing my words of wisdom being shared in Wedding Magazine this month.  I gave a few little tidbits of advice on DIY’ing your wedding and would love to know what you think?

♥ Changing our Instagram up a bit! Over the next few weeks you will likely see some changes to the way we do things around here and we have started with our instagram. You know how much we love to brand everything and we kind of felt our Insta was missing out, so we have switched it up  gear so you will now see lots more colour and style, just the way we like it!

♥ Finally I have decided to take a very brave step this year and launch my own personal wildlife blog called A Pocketful of Earth. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time now, but have been so busy I have never got round to doing it. Although we are still crazy busy with Bespoke Bride and the launch of the Online Wedding Show, I am now better at managing my time and decided 2015 would be the year that I do a little something for myself. If you are ever interested in checking it out, I would love to know what you think? But please be nice 😀

Off The Record: It’s Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas…

Wowzer, what a week it’s been! I feel like Christmas is really getting into full swing around here; We’ve been visiting Christmas markets, baking gingerbread houses and putting up the decs this week! And since Christmas is coming there’s an amazing amount of awesome competitions around so I’ve shared my favourites in a special giveaway section for you guys to enter and hopefully win some extra goodies before santa delivers your own! Enjoy!

Making this years gingerbread house! It’s becoming a bit of a tradition that me and James bake our own gingerbread house from scratch and I think this years definitely came out better than last years! Thank god we’re improving, it’s not that easy making a gingerbread house dontcha know!

Visiting Megan with Emily and Emily to have afternoon tea and see the Bath Christmas markets! Megan was absolutely amazing and put on a whole afternoon tea for us with all home baked goodies! We had brownies, christmas tree cookies and of course, mince pies!! It was absolutely delicious.

♥ Photographing my best friends Maternity shoot, it’s so lovely to see her absolutely glowing and it was such a pleasure to get to capture those moments! She’s due to pop in around 4 weeks and I’m so exited!!! She’s also just started her own baby blog where she’s going to be sharing the photos, some cute DIYs and her experiences of being a mum for the first time so if you’re in the same position Bump To Bambino may be something you’ll enjoy!

Having a delicious Italian meal with Liz & Adam and meeting their new kitten Naomi Campbell! She’s such a sweetie!

Putting up the Christmas decs finally! If it was up to me they would have been up on December 1st but better late than never! It was so fun having Mushu around while they were going up too, this is his first Christmas so it’s all a bit strange for him!

Watching Horrible Bosses 2 at the cinema, my god I laughed my ass off all the way through! It’s absolutely hilarious, go and see it!!

♥ It was my birthday on Saturday and I was one very spoilt girly! I spent the morning being treated to a special cooked breakfast by Mr T (who had wrapped up my favourite tin of veggie sausages & beans in birthday paper as a surprise!), the afternoon was spent playing bingo with my nan (showing my age there!) and that evening I was treated to a Salmon supper and a glass of vino at a lovely restaurant just up the road.

Sunday officially marked the start of christmas at our house as we made our annual trip to the local christmas market to pick up our christmas tree. I couldn’t wait to get home and decorate it!! It felt just a little more special this year as it will officially be our first christmas on our own together.

Kopparberg spiced apple! Honestly this is the most delicious mulled decided I have ever tasted in my life. If you are a cider lover you have to try it!!

High Tea at Megan’s (Briar Rose) house  in Bath with Emily (Mermaid Gossip) and Jess! I love these girls so much, we always have so much fun together. It was so such a treat, Megan had baked the most delicious gingerbread cookies, mince pies and brownies all washed down with a mug of Christmas tea and pomegranate bucks fizz!

♥ Visiting Bath Christmas markets with the girls, I was astounded by the number of stalls! I loved trying all the different food and drink on offer, including chocolate wine, smoked cheese and real hot chocolate!

♥ Lazy days off! I very rarely spend days doing nothing. I find it very hard to switch off but I am trying to make it my mission to spend more days like these from now on. Yesterday was the first day I think I can say I really truly managed to switch off from work mode for an entire day and you know what I loved it, although I still felt ever so slightly guilty.
