Raise A Glass By This Glitzy ‘Chin Chin’ Garland Tonight!

New Years Eve Chin Chin Banner Gold Black Glitzy Garland DIY-4

CHEERS!! It’s New years eve people and if you’re looking for a quick and easy DIY to spritz up any party then todays DIY is for you! When we originally had this idea we wanted it to say ‘cheers’ but we’ve seen quite  a lot of those garlands around lately so we thought we’d switch it up a bit and since chin chin means cheers in Italian and some people tend to say it anyway we rolled with it! Here’s a fun fact for you though, chin chin means Penis in Japanese. Sooooo you may not want to hang this on your wall if you’re reading this in Japan! To create this simple glitzy Chin Chin banner all you’ll need is:

Black Card // This Template // Craft Gold Stars // Gold Tinsel // White Thread // Loom Bands (preferably orange, yellow or clear) // Glue or Sellotape //

New Years Eve Chin Chin Banner Gold Black Glitzy Garland DIY

STEP 1: Using your template size the letters to whatever size you like and print off, twice. Next cut out the letters and place them onto your black card. Draw around them and then cut out all of the letters! (Alternatively, if you have a Cricut then you can upload the template to the design space and let it do the cutting for you!)

Finding ways to incorporate all the things that make you into your wedding can sometimes be a little tricky but todays couple are living proof that it can be done, all you need is a little bit of creativity and prioritisation. Personally I think it all comes down to expectation, you have to have a strong belief in what it is you want your wedding to symbolise.

I believe there are a few things we can learn from Pavlina and Tomas today and they are to always be true to yourself, only include traditions that are important to you and incorporate loves and interests that have brought you together as a couple. Boho Meets 1920’s Glam: Sara & Michael

Boho Glam Featured Image

When Carrie from Sur La Lune photography described this wedding as visually being like boho meets 1920’s glam, I instantly knew I was going to be sold.

As soon as I saw the images of Sara in her unique beaded headpiece… the flourishing florals, the marching musicians and the gorgeous outdoor venue, I knew we had hit the jackpot.

Every inch of this wedding is incredible, the bridesmaids look fierce in their mismatched black dresses, Michael is sporting a seriously dapper outfit complete with polka dot handkerchief, which wins huge points with me and Sara looks like a 1920’s hollywood sweetheart. Be prepared to swoon!

We will let Sara welcome you to the party…

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Baroque ‘n’ Roll

We admit it. We spend a lot of our time drooling over the latest fashion trends and browsing through magazines looking at clothes that we simply can’t afford!

One of the fashion finds that have stuck in our mind for next season is Baroque; it’s dark, it’s edgy and even though it’s a trend from from 17th century this look has something very futuristic about it. Think bold patterns, huge costume jewellery & a style that’s very extravagant.

We loved this trend so much we felt it only necessary to apply it to a wedding theme! Yes…most people would simply wear it, but why not lavish your tables with this trend & cover your cake with it? Our inspiration board is based primarily around the black and gold trend of baroque but we think silver, black & blue would rock just as much!

Dolce and Gabanna would be proud!

Wednesday Wedding Inspiration: Haunting Halloween

Yes ladies and gents it’s that time of year when things are starting to get a little spooky! The evenings are drawing in, the moon is almost full and pumpkins are being purchased all over the place!

This season had us wondering how fun it would be to have a Halloween filled wedding?! We don’t mean your tacky plastic blats stuck on the walls or your guests filling the room covered in face paint & masks!

We were thinking vintage horror films as table names, magic potions as favours, Pumpkin centre pieces and black gothic birdcages! It could be beautifully haunting…
