Travel Gawker: When I Went to Newquay!

Those of you that follow us on Instagram will have noticed that I was on a little vacation last week in Newquay. OK so it isn’t as glamorous as some of the travel gawkers we have done but in all honesty I think Newquay is one of Britains little gems. The beaches are scattered with golden sand, bright blue sea and at this time of year scorching hot weather. The place has such a cool laid back vibe with loads of  surf shops, bars and restaurants. If you are looking for somewhere in Britain to surf then Newquay is the ideal spot for you, its like our own little bit of OZ just tucked away in a small corner of Britain…

We Stayed at…

Trencreek Holiday Park, about a mile outside of Newquay town. It took around 30 minutes to walk into the town from there. I don’t mind walking anywhere but I have to admit the walk was a little dicey as the shortcut was a long alleyways and I did feel a little dubious at the prospect of walking back in the dark at 12 o’clock at night. I have watched way too many scary films but you know how these things go. So we decided to get a taxi back however, be aware that in the week after 11pm costs go up a fair whack so a mile journey from town to campsite cost £8 – Gasp!

The holiday park itself was brilliant we set up our four man tent on a freshly cut lawn just a little way from the loo and showers, which all women know when camping, is vital for those late night visits.
