Christina and Shawn wanted their wedding to feel like them and their life together-vibrant and colorful! As travel is a huge part of their lives together they knew a destination wedding was a must. We asked Christina to tell us more about her fun and vibrant wedding in Mexico.
Matthew and Katherine were married in vacant lot in downtown Birmingham. Their nontraditional wedding ceremony reflected the couple’s energetic, colorful spirit. Their reception was held in their newly purchased home, perched atop Red Mountain, right underneath the Vulcan (the world’s largest cast iron statue!) and was the perfect way to christen their new lives together.
The wedding day was November 1, the day after Halloween and during Dia de los Muertos, meaning the wedding was rife with costumes and color. Katherine’s mom even walked her down the aisle dressed as Humphrey Bogart!Details
Can I let you in on a little secret? I’ve never been to a bridal shower. How rubbish is that?! They’re actually not that big over here in the UK but I fully intend to try and change that! They seem like such a beautiful thing to be a part of and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a girlie get together?! Today’s bridal shower shoot only fuelled my desire to attend one of these events and when you see the colourful boho elements I just know you guys will fall in love with it too! P.S All of the ladies in this shoot were actually friends IRL, hence all the pretty, smiley laughing faces!
