Happy Friday you lovely lot! Me and Emily are currently in Cardigan after spending yesterday at the Snap Photography Festival! I love our little road trips we have, they always result in lots of laughs, good music, junk food and an awful lot of singing! (Speaking of which, you can see our road trip to Brighton here if you like!) We’ll be sharing more about the festival next week so keep your eyes peeled! For now though, here’s what else we’ve up to this week and loving in the blogosphere…

Having a family board games night! I spent Saturday night playing Cluedo and Jenga with my sister and my parents! It was alot of fun, I forgot how much I bloody love a good old fashion board game!

Spending the day in Clevedon with Lyd! We explored, walked along the seaside and ate pub lunch outside in the sunshine!

Watching the new Fast & Furious Film, I’ve been watching these films since I was about 13 so they always have some sort of nostalgia involved with me! Naturally I was all emotional at the end of this film though.

Reading outside with a cup of tea, it’s been sooooooo nice to be able to relax and get lost in a good book with the sun beaming down on my back!

Using my Easter bath bomb, it was the golden egg and boy oh boy it did not disappoint!! My skin felt so smooth and buttery afterwards and the water was shimmering gold for the entire bath!

Making plans for the summer! Glastonbury tickets go back on sale this Sunday and I’m praying I can get my hands on some! I’ll also hopefully be spending some time in France and the Dominican Republic later in the year so I’m getting super excited!!

♥ Catching up with my cousin and her beautiful little boy Arlo! He is such a cutie, I could have played and snuggled with him all day!

Long walks in the sun with Mr T, then coming home to a delicious cooked dinner – simple things!

Spending the day with Jess making lots of beautiful DIY  floral pieces. I am so pleased with how they all turned out and everytime I look at them they make me smile. Is it just me or do flowers have that effect?

Having the first BBQ of the year! Ok so it was still slightly cold and the wind starting blowing a gale halfway through cooking but it was sunny and that was all that mattered!

Receiving cute invitations in the post for our friends baby shower!

Watching Horrible Bosses 2! I loved the first one and just hadn’t gotten round to watching the second one yet, but it was definitely worth a watch, very funny and Jennifer Aniston had me in stitches!

You guys know how much we love to DIY here at Bespoke Bride! Well we have some fabulous news, as this week one of our DIYs was picked up and featured on one of our favourite magazines ‘Mollie Makes’! I cannot tell how excited we were as we have both been huge fans of the magazine for years! If you haven’t seen it yet, you can see our Watercolour Headscarves here, we would love to know what you think?

We are also thrilled to announce that a little collab we worked on with Wedding Paper Divas is now live! You can check out the wedding colors inspiration tool here! Just pick your favorite palette and once you spot your favorite, select the circles to see information about the specific shade breakdown interpreted in wedding invitations and more.

Here are a few other things we have been loving this week…

Getting an early night! I dont know why but I have just felt exhausted this week, so in order to combat that I decided an early night was in order. By 8pm I was in my PJ’s and all tucked in for a long night of Zzz’s it was bliss!

Eating lunch outside! We have had some gloriously sunny days this week and I have loved being able to take my lunch outdoors and eating al fresco!

Evening walks with Mr T! If you haven’t already noticed, I am pretty thrilled with the fact that spring is full bloom which means days are longer, evenings are getting brighter and I am taking full advantage of that, its about time I got some sun on my body!

♥ Trying out Jess’s favourite low cal pizza for myself! It was a huge hit and I think I may have just found my new food addiction.

Picking out wood paint colours for the garden at the DIY store! I have bright visions for this summer!

Enjoying cocktails for lunch! If you missed this weeks pineapple & purple grape cocktail recipe you need to try it out this weekend! It is seriously yummy!

Having lunch at Yo Sushi! I hadn’t been for ages and I forgot how yummy it was! So much sushi, noodles and most importantly pickled ginger!

Watching 50 Shades of Grey for the second time! Me and my sister went to see it this week because she hadn’t been and I loved it just as much the second time around!

Spending ages in the Lush shop at cribbs causeway! We had a proper demonstration of the face scrubs, the exfoliators, the shampoo bars and the conditioner! I obviously wanted to buy everything!

Going to dinner at a friends house, we had such a lovely evening and I successfully managed to cook a salted caramel chocolate tart for pudding!

Spending Mothers Day at the Orepool and having a scrummy 3 course meal to celebrate!

Watching Comic Relief! I absolutely love getting lots of snacks and snuggling down to tune in for the evening and I was amazed that the total raised was 72 million!!

Whether you are avglass half full kind of girl or glass half empty, there is no denying the power of positive thinking. This week really didn’t start out all that great for myself and Jess. We had Monday scheduled in for a day of DIY but little did we know the universe had other plans? Deliveries didn’t arrive on time and we had a complete DIY epic fail! So instead of moping around feeling sorry for ourselves, we decided to give up and turn our attention to something more positive. We got comfortable on the sofa, sat and made a list of all our plans for the next months and what we would need to do to complete them. Within hours our day had been turned on its head. We had created a mastermind DIY plan for the next month and we both left that day, feeling like we had accomplished something rather than failed. I suppose what I am trying to say is when life gives you lemons….make lemonade!

Here is what else we have been loving this week….

Gardening at grannies in the glorious sunshine!

Having a bad day made good! Watching back to back episodes of Pretty Little Liars in my PJ’s and having a scrummy roast dinner cooked for me by my other half. He knows how to cheer me up alright 🙂

Spending a day on the sofa planning more DIY projects than you shake a glue gun at! Funnily this is not what we had planned to do on Monday at all but gosh I am so looking forward to what we have in store for you!

Receiving pretty epic emails. Sorry to be so cryptic but lets just say our summer just got a schooled!

Eating lunch in the sun!

Seeing my Daffodils starting to bloom in the garden – they make me so happy!

Watching Clean Bandit! I went to a gig of theirs on Monday in Birmingham and they were epic! I loved hearing them play live and getting into the party mood!

Finishing 50 Shades Of Grey Darker, I only bought it last week and spent pretty much all day Sunday reading it, I was hooked! And it ended on such a bloody cliff hanger so now I need to go and get the third book to read! What a shame..

♥ Trying out my new shampoo, lol, I know that doesn’t sound at all exciting but hear me out…this was no ordinary shampoo! It was Lush’s seaweed shampoo bar, I have never used one of these before but can honestly say I’m never going back to shampoo in a bottle! The bar will not only last me AGES but it’s full of natural goodness which is amazing for your scalp and my hair felt so smooth afterwards!

Spending mornings at Hannah’s, she’s one of my oldest friends and having breakfast with her is always a joy! It feels like no time has passed and we’re 13 years old again chuckling away!

Having dinner at Moko’s in Monmouth, it’s a lovely little Mexican restaurant with one of the best Mojitos I’ve ever tasted!

Masterchef being back on BBC One! I love that shit!

Booya! It’s Friday! And what busy little bees me and Emily have been this week! We spent the first half of the week in London Town having meetings, attending events, shopping, drinking, eating and exploring and then we both slowed down the pace for the rest of the week…I may or may not be writing this from the sofa. In my PJs. Here’s what else what we’ve been loving getting up to this week….

♥ Having Emily over for dinner! Every now and then we take the time to have a girlie night without any work! I cooked caramelised onion pizza to start and a yummy sweet potato & peanut butter curry for main and we spent the evening watching Saturday night TV and chatting!

♥ Meeting our friends Anne & Matt for dinner (& mojitos!) in London, we don’t get to see them very often so it was so nice to have a relaxed dinner and a good laugh together!

♥ Doing a spot of shopping on Oxford Street! Where we live, the shops on only have one floor for womenswear, so you can imagine our excitement in topshop and H&M when they had about 4 or 5 floors!

♥ Having high tea at the Berkely with Cricut! They put on a special event for their bloggers at this amazing hotel and I was blown away by the detail of the ‘fashionista’s tea’! I’m talking little cakes made into handbags, biscuits in the shape of shoes and gingerbread ball gowns!

♥ Designing our own shoes at Upper Street, oh em gee! Part of our goodie bags from the wedding blog awards last year included a pair of shoes designed however we like (!!!!) and so me and Emily took the opportunity to choose ours while we were in London! You can see a video of the whole epic experience here!

♥ Reading 50 shades darker. I know, I know, I’m super late to this party but after watching the first film I really wanted to know what happened next so I bought the book before we got on the bus back from London and was on chapter 5 by the time we arrived home! I am well and truly hooked!

Having a relaxing girls night in with Jess, eating delicious food and experiencing Saturday Night Takeaway for the first time. I laughed ALOT!

Heading to London for a few businessy bits and bobs, although it wasn’t entirely business though, as we spent the first day shopping on Oxford Street and catching up with old friends. Not bad huh!

As Jess already mentioned we were also treated to High Tea at the Berkeley when we met with Cricut this week and it was sooooo cool! Imagine cakes made into the shapes of handbags, biscuits made into glittery gold dresses and of  course, lots of posh sandwiches!

I was so excited to finally get round to designing my own shoes at Upper Street this week! I was drawn to a particular colour the minute I walked through the door and just had to get myself something similar. Helena was absolutely amazing guiding us through all the different heel sizes, types of shoes and fabrics. I was so impressed with how she could design the shoe using 3d software on her computer so we could see what they would look beforehand, although I cant wait to see what they look like in the flesh. Be prepared for lots of Instagram #shoeporn when they arrive!!

The Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack! Whilst Jess is catching up on the books I have the soundtrack on repeat. The track by Sia has to be my fave, she is soooo talented!!!
