DIY FLORAL CONFETTI ICE BUCKET
Happy Monday guys! I am so so so excited to be kicking off the week with a beautiful confetti DIY! Shropshire Petals are back and we’re showing you just how many things you can do with confetti (as well as throwing it of course!) In case you missed it we’ve already shared how you can make your own temporary tattoos with the natural petals and made some free printable confetti cones for holding your confetti and today we’re all about the floral confetti ice bucket!
I’ve seen these ice buckets done a couple of times with fresh fruit and knew they would look absolutely amazing with Shropshire petals natural confetti! Seriously guys, chilling wine and champagne never looked so good! Let’s get cracking on how we made it shall we?
YOU WILL NEED:
Natural confetti in different colours // 1 large bucket // 1 smaller bucket (it needs to fit inside the large bucket but also be big enough to hold a bottle) // stones //
STEP 1:
Take your large bucket and fill it with 2-3 inches of water then pop in the freezer and allow to freeze.
STEP 2:
Next, place the smaller inside that bucket and weigh it down with stones to ensure it doesn’t float when we add in the extra water!
STEP 3:
Add water to the half of the bucket and pack it full with your natural confetti! Then allow this to freeze. This will create the first ring of flowers.
STEP 4:
Once the previous section has frozen, fill the remaining space with water and pack full with confetti, you really want to try and pack it very tightly to get the best effect! Then freeze again and leave overnight.
STEP 5:
We now want to remove the bucket, so start by taking out the stones from the middle and fill that smaller bucket with hot water. Let it sit for a while then pour it out. Next run warm water all around the outside of the bucket, I decided to tip it upside in the sink while I did this and eventually I was able to just lift the bucket away!
Gaaaaah how beautiful does it look?! Remember when you serve it make sure you pop it in a tray or container that has a lip around the outside to catch the melting ice and if you’d like to order yourself some natural petal confetti to make your own then click here! xx
This is just too awesome! Elegant, delicate and different. Such a great idea!
