A COLOURFUL ROCKABILLY LAS VEGAS ELOPEMENT

107-2015-07-30-605-FabioAndAdriPhotography030

I’m not sure weddings can get much cooler than the one I am about to share with you! These two had planned their entire wedding and had everything ready to go when they both decided it actually wasn’t what they had wanted. They were listening to a lot of people’s advice instead of listening to their hearts and in the end decided that getting married in Vegas was something they would both LOVE! And so…they eloped!

For. Like. Ever! A Colourful Geometric Wedding in LA: Marie & Garth

Colourful Geometric Wedding in LA (31)

It is no secret that we are little obsessed with colour and geometric prints here at Bespoke Bride so when we were sent Marie and Garths chic LA wedding full of colour and Geometric sculptures, you can imagine our excitement. It was as though Bespoke Bride had been brought to life in a real life wedding!

It was love at first sight 12 years ago when Marie and Garth first met and they’ve been happily paired up ever since, making their home in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles, where they decided to make it official choosing a new, hip, local venue, The Fig House. Marie’s love of mod geometric shapes was showcased beautifully in her beaded Mara Hoffman gown and was mirrored in the brightly stained-glass windows and custom invitations as well as handcrafted geo shapes used to create tablescapes along with bright succulent gardens. An art print with the words ‘For.Like.Ever’ hangs in Marie and Garth’s home, and it naturally evolved to become their personal mantra for the wedding. It was used in their invitation wording, wedding website and mirrored cake topper. The cake was made by the mother of the groom, who transported the cakes (unfrosted!) and all of her cake decorating tools from the Pacific Northwest. Watching her put the finishing touches on the cake as guests began to arrive is one of my all time favorite wedding moments. It was real life performance art–so moving and sweet and an expression of her love for her son and soon-to-be daughter in law.

We asked Marie to tell us more…

A Quirky NYC Bookstore Wedding: Abigail & Jason

A Quirky NYC Bookshop wedding
I just love the location and venue for todays book themed wedding. I adore books, just ask anyone that has seen my living room, we literally have shelves and shelves lined with them, it would be my dream to have a in-house library – seriously how cool would that be! Anyway I love it when a couple use a combined passion for something as the backdrop for their wedding and that is exactly what Abigail & Jason did for their wedding. Here they are to tell us more…

Justin and Giordana played hooky with their closest family and friends and married beside the Brooklyn Bridge in New York! The entire day was built around creativity and merriment, including a post-ceremony ice cream break before a happy ride on the world-famous Jane’s Carousel! (amazing) Giordana even wore her mother’s wedding dress from the 70’s and asked everyone else to show up in bright, festive colours! Every single detail was hand crafted by the couple and their parents or their favorite Etsy vendors! Talk about a personal and awesome wedding right?!

A Multicoloured Travel Themed Wedding – Melissa & Pete

James Hacker Photography

Melissa and Pete held a small informal proper Bristol affair. The day was a not only a celebration of their marriage but, also marked the couples return back to the UK after two and a half years living abroad. I just love their fun sense of spirit, the colours they used were so vibrant and colourful and I could definitely image being on a warm sunny beach in Mexico despite the rainy downfalls.

Over to Melissa to tell you all about their day…
