A SCRUMPTIOUSLY SWEET MOD INSPIRED ICE CREAM BRIDAL SHOWER

Stylist Kristin Rapisardi of Lustre Theory is blowing our minds right now with her version of a 60’s Mod ice cream bridal shower! The fact that it combines amazing colors, macaron ice cream sandwiches and everyone’s favorite vintage era, equals only one thing? Pure magic of course with a cherry on top!

Kristin used color to define this classic look. Bright, bold color is splayed in geometric patterns and vintage influence and focuses on color blocking, hints of bright yellow, orange, pink, and pastels.

Not wanting to copy the well known Twiggy style, the team added a more playful approach to makeup and the use of color. Different elements of the 60’s hair and makeup trends were chosen for the models, voluminous hair, lots of eyeliner and large bright accessories.

Scroll on through for tonnes of super sweet inspiration and even more details on how you could get this look for yourself…

#BBAREALBRIDE UPDATE: HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN PERSONALISED WEDDING INVITATIONS WITH ZAZZLE

It’s been 9 months since we last spoke with our real bride reporter Sophie King, best known as the founder of gals favourite hair accessory Crown & Glory. With just a few months to go until ‘W-DAY’, Sophie and her OH Gareth have been busy searching for a venue, choosing dresses, picking food choices – and then some. It has been an exciting time for the two of them and we are thrilled to have played a small part in it, as you might remember Sophie was the winner of  a competition we held last year hosted by Zazzle. As part of the competition, Sophie was able to create her wedding stationery for the big day, so today we have asked her to share a peek at the final creations and tell us a little bit more about the design process.

HOW TO ROCK A BOHO URBAN WEDDING

HOW TO STYLE A BOHO URBAN WEDDING (9)

I’ve said it many times before, but we love to feature styled shoots on our blog. Yes, they can sometimes seem unrealistic, but personally, I think they are a great source of inspiration and can be super helpful for a number of other reasons too like…

  • Finding suppliers and assessing their suitability and skills
  • Inspiring creativity
  • Discovering the ‘little details’ that would sometimes get forgotten
  • Guide brides and grooms on how to achieve a certain theme or style

And our recent survey found that although styled shoots were the 4th most popular feature on our blog, we were certainly asked a lot of questions about them, the main one being how we can make them more helpful? So these past few weeks we have been working hard to make them more informative and we would love to know what your think so far?

Is there anything else we can do to make the styled shoots we feature here, even better?

With all that being said today we have another fabulous styled shoot to share with you today, complete with a guide on how to rock a boho urban wedding from Anna, creative director at Rose Paper Scissors & Natalie from Private Dining Experience.
