CRAZY COLORFUL SCANDI WEDDING INSPIRATION
If you haven’t noticed the Scandinavian design trend is getting more popular by the day and with Christmas around the corner everyone is trying to find ways to make their homes a little more Hygge this winter but have you ever given any thought to how the Scandi’s do weddings? There’s an ethereal feel to today’s wedding inspiration, featuring a marriage between folk craft and modern Scandinavian Minimalism.
Rich in bright yellows, blues, reds, white, and accents of natural wood, this color palette embraced Nordic design and the natural colors present at harvest.
The clean materialism and light-filled spaces of the Nordia House Cultural Center in Portland were a meaningful and ideal choice for the setting of this shoot. Rustic vignettes and details serve as a counterpoint to the scene; anchoring the images with the warmth of a table at harvest, fresh baked pies, a curtain of hundreds of lush sunflowers, and meticulous DIY crafts.
The bride sports two looks – a casual and effortless folk-inspired vintage dress, and an elegant wedding gown by Lena Medoyeff. Each look is complemented with gold jewelry accents by Tiro Tiro Studio, whose graceful geometric designs play perfectly to a Nordic theme. Abundant sunflowers underscore a bright and seasonal focus to the overall theme.
