RUSTIC BOHEMIN GARDEN WEDDING IN CALIFORNIA
As the trend for outdoor weddings is looking more likely for the foreseeable of 2020 and beyond we thought this boho garden wedding would be the perfect inspo.
Speaking of this very special couple and they’re beautiful wedding, Natalie, from Here Today Photography told us, “Those who have grown to appreciate the natural environment and its sounds and silences are people who have truly adopted nature’s pace. It shows through their mannerisms and the ways in which they listen, how they focus their attention not on the centre of themselves, but on the centre of who they are in a grander context. Brittany and Andrew reflect these characteristics entirely.
Although soft-spoken, they mean what they say, and the manner in which Andrew and Brittany promised themselves to each other not only as a couple, but also as individuals, struck a chord with everyone in attendance. It is apparent that these two will see the world and live a venturesome life together, but they will do so while embracing each other’s own and unique qualities and while realizing that it is those personal traits that strengthen their bond.
Everyone was incredibly calm and present as the day’s events unfolded. As Brittany’s mom stated: it’s as if they’ve been married for ages… we welcomed this union many years ago.”
“We chose our venue location because we wanted our guests go mingle in an outdoor, garden setting. Quail Haven made it easy for us to bring in some custom pieces, and the owner was easy to work with from day one.” Brittany began.
“Planning our wedding took about a year, and my wedding planner, who happened to be a good friend from high school, helped so much with making sure all of the details came together. We tackled a few things every month, so we never felt too overwhelmed or that we had too much on our plates. The whole planning process was pretty easy for us! My dad and I even had the time to choreograph our father/daughter dance, which was a lot of fun!” She told us.
“We didn’t DIY ourselves, but we love DIY elements! So, we found our handmade macrame backdrop on Etsy, as well as the groomsmen’s bolo ties which matched great with our green garden meets modern boho theme.”
“We also wanted to make sure our guests had an interactive experience. So, we included a Polaroid photo booth and stick on tattoos and had an amazing dance party.”
“Do your wedding, the way you want to do your wedding. If you aren’t traditional, that’s ok! Incorporate your quirks and the things you love.”
“Also make sure you spend time with your family and guests. We kept our photo session quick and had a blast taking photos! But we were grateful that we weren’t away from our guests and our party for an extended period.” Brittany explained.
“There is nothing we wish we didn’t do or wish we had, we loved everything about our wedding and wouldn’t change a thing.”
