CHEVRONS, SUCCULENTS & ONE EPIC VW CAMPER

Retro campervan hippie wedding with chevrons & succulents-39

My favourite types of weddings are ones where the couple have really gone to town to tell their love story throughout their wedding, the ones where subtle nods are given to mile stones and favourite moments are reflected within the decor! That’s exactly what Nicole & Juan did from their hippy van where it all began to a bouquet made from brooches collected over time and so much more…

CLOSE KNIT FAMILY & FRIENDS MAKE THIS A WEDDING TO REMEMBER: JON & LAUREN

Close Knit Family & Friend DIY Wedding, Bride with Purple Petticoat (35)

I am totally psyched to be sharing todays wedding with you! I don’t care what you are doing, you simply must drop everything and check this out, trust me you won’t be sorry! First the bride, Lauren, is wearing the most epic purple petticoat, which can you believe was worn by her grandmother many years before. As if that wasn’t enough the DIY details are phenomenal, especially the multicoloured cake that was baked by none other than the bride’s aunt and last but certainly not least I would like you to take a guess at what theme tune this bride decided to walk down the aisle too (Hint: Another install of this prehistoric release will be hitting your screens in May!). When you have finished  I want you read through and marvel at Laurens creativity and her best friends talents.

A fun-loving Retro Themed Wedding: Corinne & Alex

Myers_Lindell_Logan_Walker_Photography_026L0631_low

I asked readers this week to comment on Facebook with their wedding horror stories. I was surprised by the number of people that replied with tales of suppliers that had cancelled last minute, botched wedding videos and marquee theft. However what struck me was how well each person had dealt with their problems, not one person had let these hiccups ruin their wedding day. Todays couple had their fair share of minor hiccups to deal with on the day of their wedding although each one made way for something even greater!

Here is bride Corinne to tell you more…

A 50’s Inspired American Glamour Wedding to Rival Vegas: Charlie & Brent

This is why we should have pets at weddings...

It’s not often I shed a tear over someones wedding story, I am a pretty tough nut to crack, but there was something about Charlies description of her wedding day with Brent that got me.  I love this girls raw honesty, I love that Brent wore his Grandads suit, I love that the couple had a friend carry out the ceremony and I adore that this couple were so passionate about adding their personality to their day – even the rubix cube cake played its part in commemorating a very special memory.

I asked Charlie to tell us a more…

A 1950’S Rockabilly Wedding With The Coolest Car Couch Ever!: Cara & Mike

INTRO

You can tell from Cara and Mike’s rockabilly styled wedding that this is a couple that know how to have fun and they aren’t afraid to show it!

Their whole wedding is a reflection of  their personalities, from their love of the 1950’s and vintage cars to pin up and statement decor, even their more sensitive sides have been incorporated into the day with special touches like quotes and images to honour loved and lost ones that couldn’t be there to share in their special day.

I really love this wedding not just because I too share a secret passion for old vintage cars, (my dream is to own a pink Cadillac) but I have have totally fallen in love with Cara and Mike, I love their confidence, their humour, their style. They really are the most wonderful, laid back couple!

Here is Cara who wants to tell you her story and share some of her top notch advice…
