So you’ve fallen in love with a headpiece, now what? You’re not sure how you want to style your hair around it whilst still showcasing it? Well worry no more because today we’re going to be sharing 3 stylish & modern ways that you can show off your wedding headband, from down tasseled curls, to…Details
One quick look around Bespoke Bride and you’ll find it’s pretty obvious that we’re not HUGE fans of being traditional, you wouldn’t find me throwing a beautiful bouquet that someone has poured their heart into creating just because it’s tradition and I’m not sure I would wear ‘something blue’ on my wedding day but one tradition I do really love is the garter.
I think that there is something so beautiful, sexy and elegant about them when they’re done well and one company that get’s it right every-single-time is the Wedding Garter Co. Their garters range from simplistic to pretty and embellished to fancy, all oozing elegance and style! In case you’re not familiar with The Wedding Garter Co you’ll be pleased to know that every single garter is handmade and has been lovingly crafted in their Bath workshop. Meaning each item truly is an heirloom piece that you can cherish!
Right, let’s talk dresses shall we? Because it’s not always easy to know what style of garter you can wear with different types of wedding dresses. For example, if you’re wearing a dress or skirt that has lot’s of layers then you really can choose from a wide range of garters, in fact you could wear any type that you like, whether it’s lace, silk, tulle or embellished, the garter world is your oyster!
However, if you’re going to be wearing a tight fitting gown then you might want to consider a simple silk garter, The Wedding Garter Co have garters (Like the ‘Hera’ garter) that have been specifically designed to be more sleek and discreet, making them the perfect hidden accessory. (Top Tip: Wear them just above the knee to keep them more concealed)Details
As many of you will know, neither myself nor Emily are married yet, and we’ve certainly had our fair share of weddings to look at for inspiration for when the big days do come! I know they always say that you never go for the dress you have in your mind, but I’m pretty certain that the two-piece trend is for me! I spend most of my days in high-waisted jeans or high-waisted maxi skirts & tops, so I love the idea of being able to carry that over to a wedding.
It’s safe to say that I am a serious lover of the two-piece trend so when I heard that Allure Bridals was bringing out a new collection of not just bridal wear but also bridesmaid styles in mix and match, I was beyond excited! I mean, this means you could wear one style in the day then swap out either the top or the skirt for a completely different look in the evening! Winning!
It also means that you can tie in your bridesmaids nicely without having them completely matching. This is one of my favourite styles in weddings. Imagine having each of your bridesmaids wearing the same gorgeous top, and then each of them wearing a different skirt that suits her style! Or you could do it the other way around and have matching skirts with completely different tops!
There’s always a need for little trinket trays am I right? Whether you use them to fill up with paper clips, store your jewellery, or just generally have them on display, I personally think the prettier the better! And I’m not sure that you can get any prettier than this natural petal confetti tray that we created in collab with Shropshire petals!
You guys already know that we’re obsessed with their beautiful confetti, the colours are just insanely gorgeous and you really don’t just need to use confetti as throwing confetti! Creating a little trinket dish like this out of your wedding confetti is great reminder of your special day that you can keep around or they would even make lovely gifts for your bridesmaids! You could even use them as part of your table decor if you wanted to!
YOU WILL NEED:
A plain small tray // Natural petal confetti in the colours of your choice // Gold glitter // Matte Mod Podge //
Apply mod podge to the bottom of your tray then sprinkle your confetti into the tray, be as generous with it as you like!
Grab your gold glitter and sprinkle over top of your confetti until you’re happy with it.
Push down/pat down on your confetti so that it sticks into the mod podge well.Details

I hope you’re feeling the tropical vibes today because we’ve teamed up with Shutterfly to bring you a fun and fruity styled shoot that would be perfect for a bridal shower or bachelorette party! And let me reassure you that even though we are settling into Autumn now, a fruity theme is beautiful and timeless, no matter what the season! You could even choose fruit that’s notorious for the season you’re hosting in, like cranberries for winter and pumpkins and squash for Autumn!
The best part about this shoot is you can personalize every single item featured here to fit your individual style, how awesome is that?! As you guys know though we absolutely love bright, bold colors and fun tropical prints so we tailored the products to match! Here’s 6 easy ways that Shutterfly can make your bridal shower just as fun…
1. USE SLOGAN WINE GLASSES
You can’t deny that slogans are having a real moment right now and when we saw these fun wine glasses we just knew they would be perfect for a girls night! We chose ours to say ‘Trust me, you can dance” (here) and “Bottoms Up!”(here), but you could choose your own quotes or even have the date of your bachelorette party! Don’t forget to complete the glassware with a cute decanter!
2. GET A STATEMENT TABLE RUNNER
We completely fell in love with the pineapple print available within Shutterfly’s Art Library and it’s quite clear how fab it looked as a table runner! We were super impressed with the quality and it made such a statement to really set the tone for the rest of the décor.
3. MAKE YOUR PLATES POP!
Patterned plates look fantastic on tables and are a super easy way to add an extra element of color or pattern to your décor, we chose a watermelon print when we were personalizing our plates to continue with our tropical, fruity theme! You could even add in some pretty placemats underneath!
Happy Monday guys! I am so so so excited to be kicking off the week with a beautiful confetti DIY! Shropshire Petals are back and we’re showing you just how many things you can do with confetti (as well as throwing it of course!) In case you missed it we’ve already shared how you can make your own temporary tattoos with the natural petals and made some free printable confetti cones for holding your confetti and today we’re all about the floral confetti ice bucket!
I’ve seen these ice buckets done a couple of times with fresh fruit and knew they would look absolutely amazing with Shropshire petals natural confetti! Seriously guys, chilling wine and champagne never looked so good! Let’s get cracking on how we made it shall we?
YOU WILL NEED:
Natural confetti in different colours // 1 large bucket // 1 smaller bucket (it needs to fit inside the large bucket but also be big enough to hold a bottle) // stones //
Take your large bucket and fill it with 2-3 inches of water then pop in the freezer and allow to freeze.
Next, place the smaller inside that bucket and weigh it down with stones to ensure it doesn’t float when we add in the extra water!
Add water to the half of the bucket and pack it full with your natural confetti! Then allow this to freeze. This will create the first ring of flowers.
Once the previous section has frozen, fill the remaining space with water and pack full with confetti, you really want to try and pack it very tightly to get the best effect! Then freeze again and leave overnight.
Ever thought that confetti was just for throwing? Well what a mistake that is my friend because let me tell you, natural flower confetti makes for the most amazing temporary tattoos! Don’t you just agree these would look awesome at a festival wedding?! You could add the temp tatts to your bridesmaids, yourself or even set up a little flower tattoo station for your guests to help themselves! Here’s what you’ll need to get the look:
Natural flower confetti (We highly recommend Shropshire Petals because they’re confetti is so beaut and super colourful!) // Eyelash glue // A few heavy books (for flattening the petals) // Hairspray //
Pop your petals within the heavy books and allow them to flatten, I left for mine for 3 – 4 hours which was plenty of time!
Take your eyelash glue and apply it to the back of one of the petals then adhere it to your skin. I decided to create flower shapes by positioning 5 petals together! I’ve also read a couple of tutorials online that said you can use vaseline to stick the petals to yourself but this just wasn’t working for me at all, they kept falling off and you obviously want them to last all day on your wedding!
You don’t have to look very far around to here to figure out that we LOVE confetti and it’s no secret that Shropshire Petals are one of our absolutely favourite suppliers of confetti! They grow biodegradable natural petal confetti, wheat sheaves and dried flowers which are all handpicked from their farm set in the rolling fields of Shropshire! So cute! Remember when we collaborated with them on a guide to finding the perfect confetti colour palette? Well since you guys now know our fave colour combos it only made to sense to provide you with somewhere to put all of this beaut confetti and where better than in some ace abstract confetti cones?!
You could get the groomsmen to hand these out at the end of the ceremony or leave them somewhere for your guests to grab ready for that perfect confetti photo! The great news is they are super easy to make, just download the free printable here, roll them into a cone and glue them in place! DONE! If you want to add a little metallic bonus like we did then you’ll just need some spray paint and kitchen roll, I just wrapped the kitchen roll around the top of the cone to create a straight line and then spray painted the ends!
In case you guys haven’t heard, natural confetti is where it’s at! The petals are 100% natural, eco-friendly and biodegradable, just like blossom off the tree! They are all completely natural in colour, no dyes are ever added and they’re delicately handpicked and lovingly packed for your ‘confetti moment!’ How awesome is that?!
But where do you start? There are so many beautiful colours and options out there and which look best together? Well the good news is we’ve got your back and we’ve teamed up with Shropshire Petals to create the ultimate guide for the perfect natural confetti colour.
