WEEKEND WEDDING PLANNING: MOTIVATION

It’s that time of the week again! You might remember, I took a month long break from wedding planning last month, as I didn’t really feel like there was much more I could do after our chosen celebrant/ planner said I wouldn’t be able to book our ceremony venue until 3 months in advance. Feeling like I had been left in limbo, I temporarily broke my ban to take to the pages of a Facebook group I’m in, to find out how soon other destination brides could book and the general consensus was that a year in advance was pretty standard. Needless to say, I’m beginning to  think we might need to look at some other options. The only problem is, I now have zero motivation! So my question is what do you do get yourself back in the wedding planning bubble?

WEEKEND WEDDING PLANNING: SIMPLE

Phew what a whirl wind these past few weeks have been, filled with hen parties & weddings. I have to admit, although it has all been very exciting, I am looking forward to a much more relaxed weekend. This week was very exciting for me as I preliminarily booked my favourite videographers in the whole wide world – Costa Sister Productions to come to Mexico to film our wedding. I am so so happy as having them their to film was one of the most important things to me. Unfortunately, I am still no closer with an actual date as the Cenote where we plan to get married has a strict 3 month booking rule, so we are having to get back in touch with them in the new year. Seriously guys I am on the edge of my seat here. I just want to get a date on that calendar!

WEEKEND WEDDING PLANNING: TIME TO GET ORGANISED!

It’s been a while since we had a regular series on Bespoke Bride, so we are super excited to share a new one with you today. Inspired by the fact that once I started wedding planning I had no idea where to start I thought it would be useful to start a new series called weekend of wedding planning. Where I’ll be sharing some of the jobs that I’ve been tackling along with posts from around the blogosphere as inspiration. These will include helpful advice, how to’s for us DIY brides and some of the goings on around here.

I will also be sharing more of my planning journey over on my personal instagram, you can follow me @emilypettiford and I would love to see more from you guys, so snap a pic of what your getting up to this weekend ahead of the big day and use #BBwedPlans to share your pics with the rest of us!
