SECRET ELOPEMENT IN BRIGHTON
Nikki and Bertie were initially thinking of having a back garden wedding at Bertie’s parents in September 2020 but when it became clear that wouldn’t happen due to Covid they imagined the whole thing. Unable to get married with their family and friends around them, the couple decided to buck traditions and do what makes THEM happy. With the wedding only two weeks away, Nikki and Bertie did everything themselves, and kept the elopement a secret. Without other people to think about, the wedding planning couldn’t have been easier!
“I wanted a dress that I could wear again and again and again because I loved it so much! The designer was Stine Goya, a Danish designer because I’m half danish! We found it in a random non-wedding shop in Winchester.”
“I then came across the flowers thanks to an influencer that I followed. They posted about a recent delivery from Great in Flowers and I fell in love straight away. As for photographer – I came across Manon by searching Brighton photographer on Instagram and she cam eup straight away! I think we got super lucky!”
“Doing a secret elopement meant there was much less to plan so that inevitably made it a whole lot easier.”
“For anyone planning a wedding during COVID times – it helps to start from scratch. Re-imagine what the day is about, why you’re doing it and then design it based on that.”
