Although I’m on a month long wedding planning ban, it doesn’t mean I can’t help you guys with your own plans this weekend.

It feels like soooooo long ago since I got engaged but I still remember it like it was yesterday. It will forever go down as one of the best days of my life and I will never forget it. This week, I got to relive a teeny tiny bit of that excitement as I found out that one of my best friends boyfriends was planning on proposing and he wanted me, to help him make it special. I had the job of helping him find an engagement ring and I can tell you, that I now have some idea of just how much pressure our other halves must feel when it comes to planning that perfect proposal.

Phew what a whirl wind these past few weeks have been, filled with hen parties & weddings. I have to admit, although it has all been very exciting, I am looking forward to a much more relaxed weekend. This week was very exciting for me as I preliminarily booked my favourite videographers in the whole wide world – Costa Sister Productions to come to Mexico to film our wedding. I am so so happy as having them their to film was one of the most important things to me. Unfortunately, I am still no closer with an actual date as the Cenote where we plan to get married has a strict 3 month booking rule, so we are having to get back in touch with them in the new year. Seriously guys I am on the edge of my seat here. I just want to get a date on that calendar!

Welcome back to our second edition of Weekend Wedding Planning. We hope you enjoyed last weeks links and found some helpful tips among my ramblings. This weekend we are heading to Carmarthenshire to celebrate the wedding of a our real bride reporter, to her beau, you might otherwise know them as Sophie & Gareth of Crown & Glory.

I realize its terribly unoriginal to comment on how quickly it has come around but it does really feel like just yesterday we were sharing their engagement story and ‘boom’ tomorrow is the wedding. I’m already second guessing myself as to whether or not 18 months is going to give us enough time to plan our destination wedding? But then I remind myself of how Merari & Fernando planned an intimate ceremony in Tree People Park in just 12 weeks and of Maren & Jon who planned their colourful Las Vegas wedding in just 10! It’s these stories that remind me of why we chose a destination wedding in the first place, to keep it simple and relaxed so I really should just stop with the fretting already!

This week has been fairly quiet on the wedding planning front, I’ve mainly just been showing photos of our wedding ceremony location to Mr T and informing our family and friends of our plans. However there was one exciting thing that I did this week and that was to start looking for wedding dresses and I mean really looking.

We might be to late for awards season (or to early depending how you look it?) but best award for proposal has to go to Vic and Jose for this romantic set up! Inspired by the powerful and memorable speech by Lin Manuel Miranda at the Tony’s this group of creatives decided to center the…
