DIY SPARKLY STAR TULLE SKIRT

I can’t deny it, I love me a tulle skirt! One quick search on Pinterest for them and my feed is filled with gorgeous little tulle numbers in tons of different colorus and styles! I love seeing them dressed down with a casual T-shirt and flats or really styled up with heels and blouses! Today’s DIY skirt is all about making a tulle skirt just that little bit more Christmassy and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! Perfect for all of the upcoming Christmas parties right?!

YOU WILL NEED:

A tulle skirt (We got this pastel one from Boohoo) // Silver Glitter Iron on material // A Cricut maker // A Cricut easy press or iron //

STEP 1:

Once you’re in the Cricut Design Space, choose a star image from their image library and copy and paste it until you end up with a lot of stars! I created these stars in two sizes, 2.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches wide. You’ll need around 60 stars to cover the entire front of the skirt or around 120 stars to cover the front and back.

DIY CHRISTMAS SLOGAN PUN GLASSES

Calling all jingle ladies! Here we go guys, Christmas DIYs start right here and I couldn’t be more excited about it! We’re kicking things off with these funny pun slogan glasses because we all love a good pun don’t we?! These are so easy to make, we’re even stocking the stickers in our shop if you’d prefer to just buy them instead of making them (we love making Christmas as easy and fun as possible!) so let’s get started shall we? Time to get SPROUT of control with the Christmas DIYs….(paha sorry couldn’t resist!)

YOU WILL NEED:

Glassware of your choice // Gold vinyl* // /Cricut Machine // Transfer tape //

*If you don’t have a cutting machine or would prefer to just buy the vinyl stickers instead of cutting them out, then you can buy these Christmas Slogan pun stickers here and then skip straight to step 4!

STEP 1:

Open up the Cricut design space and using the font tool, type the quotes you want to cut out, the 10 slogans we went for are as follows:

-EVERYDAY I’M BRUSSELIN
-ALL THE JINGLE LADIES
-SLEIGH MY NAME SLEIGH MY NAME
-BELIEVE IN YOUR ELF
-HAPPY HOLLA DAYS
-UP TO SNOW GOOD
-SLEIGH WHAT?
-MINCE PIES BEFORE GUYS
-COS I SLEIGH
-SPROUT OF CONTROL

I then sized them all to 2 inches wide because that’s what would fit my glasses best, but size yours to whatever works for you.

FAUX FOLIAGE BRIDE & GROOM CHAIR SIGNS DIY

Sometimes it’s all about the details, you don’t need many, but having a few cute detail DIY projects in the bag can really help when it comes to putting everything together on the big day! Today we’re going to be sharing a really easy bride / groom chair hang DIY which you guys can easily make in an afternoon and then pop away ready for the wedding! I just love how darn adorable they look on Emily’s pink chairs!

YOU WILL NEED:

Faux Foliage // Small faux flowers // Hot glue gun // Pliers // Steel wire // Floral tape // Printer // String or yarn //

STEP 1:

Start by printing off the word bride and groom in a font that you like, you’ll need to pick a cursive font so that all of the letters join up.

STEP 2:

Next cut a long piece of your wire and start folding it into the shape of your word, you can do most of this with your hands but you’ll need to use the pliers for the tighter curves, I also found that it helped to use the floral tape to keep certain parts of the word together once I had bent them.

STEP 3:

Repeat this with your other word, whether you’re making bride and groom, bride and bride or groom and groom. Then, tie your string or yarn onto each side of each of your words so that they’re ready to hang.

DIY THIS COLOURFUL GEOMETRIC SEATING PLAN

This month we teamed up with B&Q on their #mystatementwall campaign where we got to share our favourite colourful and statement walls over on our instagram and we also got to create a canvas of what we envisioned a statement wall of our own would look like! I chose to use blues, oranges, pinks, purples and yellow to create this geometric piece and loved the results! Afterwards I was thinking, what can | do with this canvas now? And it hit me that it would make an awesome seating plan! Here’s how to create your own geometric table plan…

YOU WILL  NEED:

A white canvas // Paints in the colours of your choice // Paintbrushes // Frog tape // Faux flowers (or real flowers if you prefer) // A glue gun // Black vinyl // White vinyl // Cricut Machine* // Place names (These can be from your stationer, printed out at home or handwritten if you’ve got lovely hand writing) // Craft glue //

*You don’t necessarily NEED a Cricut with black and white vinyl for this project, you can always get some vinyl letters or stickers if you prefer to create the words ‘seating plan’ at the top
