Socks are such a staple at Christmas, I really don’t think that there has ever been a Christmas in my life when I didn’t receive socks as a present and I am totally ok with that! I love socks, especially the warm and cosy kind but most of all socks that look cute are the best! I feel like now, more than ever socks are becoming a really big thing in fashion (we’re looking at you Happy Socks!) and I thought it would be super fun to design a couple of pairs this year!
There are 2 different designs to make completely for free to help make your own! Whether you’re gifting them to friends, your bridesmaids or just to yourself there’s no denying that these socks are beyond cute! We have a cute cactus print or for something really simple and fun a gold polka design! It’s totally up to you what colour socks you go for but we decided on a shade of pink and a white pair for the gold polka dots. Here’s what you’ll need to make your own…
YOU WILL NEED:
Plain cotton socks // Cactus design // An Iron // Gold glitter iron on // Green glitter iron on // A Cricut Explore //
FOR THE POLKA DOT SOCKS
Simply create a circle shape in your Cricut design space (I sized the circles 1 inch in diameter) and load in your gold iron on into the machine. Allow the machine to cut it out then peel away the negative space leaving only the polka dots. Heat up your iron and iron on the dots, varying the placement as you go, making sure that you cover the entire of the socks. Super simple!Details
“Girls do not dress for boys. They dress for themselves, and of course, each other. If girls dressed for boys, they’d just walk around naked all the time.”
Just the mention of Betsey Johnson makes me think of bold floral prints, kitsch designs and pink, so much pink. If you have never heard of fashion designer Betsey Johnson, then where have you been? She is fun loving, totally over-the-top and totally empowers all women, her designs are so cute and quirky, I want to buy everything in her store.
Stylist Carly, owner of Milk Glass productions had always wanted to create a shoot inspired by Betsey Johnson. “We were feeling a little spunky! So what better way to kick off wedding season and get our creative juices flowing? We aimed to embody her essence with eye-catching/unique patterns, shapes, bright colors and lots of flowers.”
Jeff and Joy met at a breakfast for dinner party so it was only natural that they served breakfast for dinner right? We asked Joy, the gorgeous bride, to tell us a bit more about her day and that gorgeous Candy Anthony dress!Details
