Bohemian Ballet: A Blush & Gold Styled Shoot
So Autumn is officially here, I can feel the chill in the air and the leaves are browning on the trees. As I only got back from my holiday in Greece this weekend I am not quite ready to leave summer completely behind, I thought todays styled shoot would be a nice little transition into fall. Featuring blush pinks and gold accessories, a floral crown with the odd pop of dark purple & rich reds and the most beautiful contemporary grounds surrounded by natural beauty, I have I sneaky feeling you are going to fall in love with todays inspiration.
We asked Stylist, Coordinator, fair organiser and prop hire specialist, Ellis Walby to tell us about her ideas for todays shoot…
“Sumptuously romantic, soft and feminine, whilst maintaining a quirky edge – this shoot had all the detail we could have wished for, and more!
We strived to create a lovely sense of ‘pretty’ by combining the gorgeous palette of gentle blush and gorgeous gold, whilst using two main inspirational elements; that of the wonderful art of ballet, and that of the artistic bohemian vibe.
Using tulle, glitter, sequins, earthy tones and woodland, lace and other materials and mediums, we shot the inspirational editorial in glorious Herefordshire sunshine meaning we captured a gorgeous faded, 70s vibe of sunlight, which turned to a warm, gentle glow in the evening with the help of our festoon and fairy light covered trees – utterly romantic.
To add a quirky edge to the shoot, amongst the other details, we used giant illuminated letter lights, a giant retro love heart light, giant fairground balloons & balloon release and more, which contrasted beautifully against the Jenny Packham inspired dress and accessories of the bohemian look, the relaxed VW split screen and other epic elements that helped make this shoot what it was – truly lovely.
We added many DIYs into the shoot, including boho ribbon chair ties, sequin covered jars, gold glitter tipped feathers for the bride’s/my hair – and Jennie from VW Do Weddings did a fabulous DIY on trailing cans for their super groovy VDub!
I brainstormed, curated, styled and modelled (as the bride) in this shoot, and worked with some genuinely amazing suppliers, which I heartily recommend to all.
We really hope you enjoy! :)”

I love the idea of wearing a warm knit jumper over your wedding dress as we head into the cooler months, it creates a really cute, country chic style. If truth be told in terms of fashion I am real winter girl, I love my chunky knits and woolen tights, what is your favourite season?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend beauts!
Much Bespoke Love
