If you’re planning a desert wedding or elopement then we’ve got just the inspiration for you! I tend to gravitate towards these types of shoots myself as I think I secretly would’ve liked to elope to Joshua Tree, even though I’ve been to California before, I’ve never actually seen the ‘desert’ but don’t worry I plan to change that very soon. Palm Springs, here I come!!!
“We chose Homestead Modern in Pioneertown CA because its unique vacation rental spot in a truly magical place out in the High Desert near Joshua Tree perfect for smaller weddings or elopements,” began Jen, owner and founder of Burlap & Rose Weddings.
“With an intimate setting and modern decor, its perfect to house a small group for a whole wedding weekend!” She told us.
“The theme and vibe of this elopement shoot plays of the Southwestern vibe of the area, with a unique color palette that hasn’t been seen often in weddings. A deep rust colored red, burnt orange and bright turquoise color combo feels new and modern. The florals are fresh and wild, with banksia and protea.”
“If you start to feel overwhelmed with wedding planning; ask yourself why? Are you trying to a wedding that is too big and you feel constricted by budget? Consider cutting your guest count to see if you can reconfigure your wedding vision and budget. With a smaller guest count, you can put more money towards design and decor details that matter to you,” Jen explained.
“With this shoot, we planned for an intimate wedding with about 6 guests plus the bridal couple. This size allows a wedding focused on the couple and their most intimate friends and family. Small weddings and elopements don’t have to be boring!”
