Planning a DIY wedding is hard enough, even if you have the time and skills. So, when it comes to adding your own handmade touches, when you have neither, it’s easy to throw out the idea once and for all and start over with something ‘easier’ but not necessarily ‘YOU’!. The thing is you can add instant personality to any wedding, whether you’ve handmade it or not, all you have to do is get creative as event designer & stylist, Ronya explains.Details
It’s been 9 months since we last spoke with our real bride reporter Sophie King, best known as the founder of gals favourite hair accessory Crown & Glory. With just a few months to go until ‘W-DAY’, Sophie and her OH Gareth have been busy searching for a venue, choosing dresses, picking food choices – and then some. It has been an exciting time for the two of them and we are thrilled to have played a small part in it, as you might remember Sophie was the winner of a competition we held last year hosted by Zazzle. As part of the competition, Sophie was able to create her wedding stationery for the big day, so today we have asked her to share a peek at the final creations and tell us a little bit more about the design process.Details
I’ve said it many times before, but we love to feature styled shoots on our blog. Yes, they can sometimes seem unrealistic, but personally, I think they are a great source of inspiration and can be super helpful for a number of other reasons too like…
- Finding suppliers and assessing their suitability and skills
- Inspiring creativity
- Discovering the ‘little details’ that would sometimes get forgotten
- Guide brides and grooms on how to achieve a certain theme or style
And our recent survey found that although styled shoots were the 4th most popular feature on our blog, we were certainly asked a lot of questions about them, the main one being how we can make them more helpful? So these past few weeks we have been working hard to make them more informative and we would love to know what your think so far?
Is there anything else we can do to make the styled shoots we feature here, even better?
With all that being said today we have another fabulous styled shoot to share with you today, complete with a guide on how to rock a boho urban wedding from Anna, creative director at Rose Paper Scissors & Natalie from Private Dining Experience.
